I would love to have a detector rail that would know the difference between an empty/storage/powered minecart, and an occupied cart.
The reason being that sometimes I want to send items at intersections different places than where the player is heading. The short term solution is to use unbelievably long redstone circuits attached to switches.
But imagine how much easier it would be if there was an actual detector that knew if a cart was occupied by a person or not...

That's all fine and good, except that it's a bug and is therefore subject to removal from the game. What Mystara0001 wants is a legitimate method of automatically differentiating between minecarts without having to rely on a bug or a mod.
