I like to fight zombie pigmen in the nether, and I often do it in SMP with friends. The problem is the pigmen always instantly as a group attack the last person who attacked a pigman. It gets rather annoying, when you are fighting as a group. If your buddy hit a pigman, and you hit another pigmen, all the pigmen attack you. It doesn't feel like a "war", of "us" against "them". The instantaneous target switching really ruins the experience, and just doesn't seem realistic...
But... how would you fix it, while maintaining their "group" mentality?
According to military tactics, it's best to kill off one by one using all your force.
A group of injured enemies attacking you at once is worse then a couple of healthy ones. So it's actually smarter for the pigman group to kill you one by one unless they get in each others way.
