I have already requested this as a Spout addition, but I think this idea is worth tossing out "to the wolves" of Minecraftopia.
My Idea is, as the title suggests, cement. This liquid could be made in a crafting table (though a cauldron would work much more nicely) and after a given interval (say 500 ticks or so) would solidify into stone.
It would spread 2 blocks and be as slow as lava, and be crafted with a water bucket, magma cream, and bonemeal.
Before y'all start ragin over me using "y'all" and the possibility of infinite stone, allow me to draw your attention to how easy infinite cobblestone machines are made, as well as the trick that allows one to make a tower of cobble by placing water next to a lavafall.

It should just be water bucket and bonemeal and maybe a cobblestone? Other then that I love the idea.

How about gravel? Also, substitute the magma cream for a simple slime ball as a form of glue. It would finally give gravel a use besides finding flint and gravel pathways.
Also, for those of us who like texture packs, cement should have its own texture, so texture makers can alter it.
Useless. Why do I want to waste a valuable alchemy ingredient making a stupid liquid that will give me half a stack of stone, rather than using water and lava (Both common liquids, and massively cheaper than magma cream) to make a simple cobblestone generator?
Nope.
Also, writing like this doesn't get my attention, it hurts my eyes.
This is all idea based stuff- I know it is easily possible to give it it's own texture (done it before).
You may have something there with gravel, it is an ingredient in cement after all. Perhaps if someone were to find a way to get cauldrons working again, cement could be made by tossing a bunch of gravel, bonemeal, and water in there. To soothe the tears of them ragin forum users, how about it spreads the same as water.
Oh, and Hades:
Stone or a retexture of it to look like cement, is far prettier than cobblestone. Putting a bucket of cement on the ground so that you get a convenient floor cant be done with the water bucket and lava method, can it? Building walls with this stuff will be far easier, and you won't have to even use Worldedit or Creative Mode.
I know people like the fact that slime is sticky but it would be funny looking cement. How about water cobble and gravel?
Sounds like a good idea. Assuming that the cauldron becomes usable again, this would not detract from the "fist day survival" that you experience every time you start a new game, and makes iron ingots more enjoyable
