so pretty simple idea, earthquakes/ caveins in mines. This deadly obstacle would make players more wary about just sprinting off into a natural mine without taking provisions. It also present the threat of falling stone. This would make miners take the time to properly set up a reenforced mine with a roof and would add the element of suspence and dread when they see the walls quaking and watch their only way out close just before they realize they have no picks, little to no food, maybe a sword at 50 percent and only a couple of torches.
no picks little food nd few torches D:
i alwys carry some wood on me so i'd jst a make a torch nd dig out xD
its kinda a cool idea but i'd vote against it

I wasn't talking about a mine only 10- 20 blocks deep, I mean as in deep deep mines that take a ton of time to decent to the bottom
This would be a decent idea if the cave-ins only happened at a certain depth, more frequent as you get closer to bedrock. Not to mention the type of blocks around.Stone wouldn't tend to cave in as easily as,let's say, dirt, gravel or sand.
I don't know how they would make this work though, because stone blocks aren't affected by gravity.
It would make for interesting gameplay I guess, but deep caves are already hard enough because they're filled with monsters, and if stone blocks randomly fell at certain depths, it might ruin some maps, so no support.
easy mode is already hard enough for 99% of the noobs, this doesnt need to be added.
