I had thought about that while playing a few times before including about two hours ago. A carpet would be neat...something like a randomly changing carpet like how the paintings do each time you place them. I hadn't thought about just using strait up wool; however, when your house has only a single row of blocks between the floors, looking from the floor below your ceiling then has wool too...
I guess I'm just thinking into it too much, but I do not think carpets would be a bad idea.
If not carpets, maybe the option to place paintings on floors.
I had to edit this as I misread your comment, but placing paintings on floors would be exactly what I was thinking - only with rugs. The only problem would be that I don't know how the paintings would actually look lying on the floor. Although I assume there might be a way programmers could make it that if the 'painting' was laying flat it would be a solid color with a border maybe. If it is upright then a painting would appear as the design.
I have this idea for carpet in Mine Craft, but they have probably not even thought of it. Here's how you craft it:
ddd
www
ppp
For D = Dye, W = Wool, and P = Planks(or wood).
What do you think? Don't be rude!
And you might know this but you could use wool instead.
sorry if you want a carpet dont add a useless item into the game just use wool as your floor
K just thought I'd ask.
Sounds Cool to me :tongue.gif:
