Hmmm... Hmmm... I believe you have failed to mention what dimension that boss dungeon is in... But by the rain I'm assuming it's the Water Dimension. Yup, we need a new thread.
Overview of the boss castle. This version is made out of stone but the real one would be made out of the pillar material.
An overview of the castle. It is made out of 4 towers each with a special feature in the top. The walls in between have two gate walls with a walkway over the top and two stair walls.
The courtyard, at the top and bottom are the gates in and out while at the sides are the stairs up to the towers.
The tower in which you spawn.
The tower with the exit portal, this is inactive until the boss is defeated.
The library tower, with a record player and a chest of loot.
The library loot chest (remember this can't be returned to the over-world without killing the boss). It contains a pre-filled in map of the arena. Some chain armor, some golden apples and a full set of records (not 11). Finally a watch, compass and some cakes for for food.
The tower with the summoning horn. The redstone torch is standing in for the actual horn.
I'd rather have the chest locked until you beat the boss and contain:
2-5 diamonds
20-50 marble(what I think the pillar material should be, but not enchanted with lightning powers)
2-4 golden apples
1 gold helmet
10-20 lapis lazuli
2 records
and a special item, the ancient pickaxe, an enchanted stone pickaxe that mines anything diamond can(at stone speed), and instead of breaking, when it loses all durability it turns into a damaged ancient pickaxe, and can be repaired by enchanting it(level 10 enchantment).
Also, has anyone thought up portal materials yet? I've seen discussion on boss fights, new nether trees, and mobs, but no one's thought up portal materials for the main dimensions.

It has too much resources. Such as gold iron blocks.
Way to doublepost....
But anyways, I wouldn't say there is too much good stuff there. You will need to get ~10 earth eyes to access the dimension, and by the time you have done that you will have already gotten several stacks of iron (I once got 2 stacks of iron on a vanilla world without finding one diamond), and you should have some diamond tools, which make iron useless except for things like rails. Gold is also useless but for rails.
Also, I think the earth eye should be crafted like so:
If redstone is going to be in other dimensions, put slimeballs or grass blocks (silk touch) there instead.

If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.

None of those will probbably be overwworld excluse, except grass, but it's too easy to get in bulk.

Looks good. Although, maybe the courtyard could be a bit bigger. Apart from that perfect IMO.
It has too much resources. Such as gold iron blocks.
To much resources? Remember that most people would make sure they have good armour, weapons, food and potions before attempting to kill this boss. By then those resources would be common and finding them wouldn't be very useful anyway.
i hope it's for the overworld. I still want my Watersnake for the WD >:3
and the sea-wheatetateaeteatwhateva
argh... so many things ive missed.
howeva.
i gotz som crapy example-pics here. Im also thinking of some stuff i'll maybe come up soon.
Crust Sunlit Zone Twilight Zone Midnight Zone
I think you need to make that a bit clearer, as it seemed a bit difficult to understand (at least for me it was).
Just a thought about those dimension chests that someone (Savannah man?) suggested. Maybe in each boss dimension, after killing the boss, 1 of each dimension chests appear that don't need unlocking with a key as another reward for killing the boss.

I applaud you sir! I especially like how all of these dimensions fall into the classic themes of Earth (Overworld), Water (Water Dimension), Fire (Nether), Air (Skylands) and Void/Ether (The End). I look forward to more updates.

By balance, do you mean make it totally worthless?

I tried to tell the moderators that, but they made me shorten the main post! :sad.gif:
Apparently it's considered spam if you have an extremely long OP, despite the obvious largeness of the thread, and the amount of information it contains/ will contain.
Not to copy or anything, but I had a really weird dream lasts night. It was really long but something that only lasted for like 10 sec jumped out at me the most. I hope you guys like the idea for a nether boss. Also hope its not too dragon-like...
Hell Borer
The Hell Borer is a large dragon-like-worm. It has the head of a Chinese dragon, except with a more hooked snout, and a 5 segmented body. The 5 segments slowly decrease in size from the head to the tail, which ends in a point. The segments are separated by 1-2 meter flaming, bead(spine) rods. Circling each spine part would be 4-6 claws that spin oppositely the group behind it. The dimensions would be 15x6x4. It would have maybe a 4 block reach for attacking and be able to; ram the player, bite the player, slash at you, tunnel around/underneath you, spit bursts of 5 fireballs in a star, and summon Crawlers.
The Arena:
A large lava tube deep in the nether. The arena is dotted with tunnels already, foreshadowing the boss' existence. The portal is at the end of the lava river, where in the side of the canyon wall is a large nether fortress. You enter the fortress and summon the boss. For a more subtle entrance, it slowly emerges from a side-tunnel and emits a growl, and for a more stunning entrance, it comes out of the lava pool, bending over itself (like Rayquaza's entrance in Brawl for those who have seen it :tongue.gif:).
The goal is to catch the boss with your sword as it flies around the chasm, tunneling through the walls. It's weak points are the spine segments, but arrow assault is impossible, since the spinning arms stop and destroy them. Too slow him down, you use the geysers along the tunnel. The block itself is just netherack with a black hole in it, but when you put a block of water behind it, it shoots out a jet of water 8 blocks high that lasts for 10 seconds. When you step in it, it launches you to the top of the jet doing 1/2 a heart every second, but when the boss touches it, it does minimal damage then stuns it and he crashes onto the ground next to the geyser, leaving him open to attack for a few seconds. The only time that this is necessary is
when you have to kill him, he retreats to the source pool for the river, and you have to use the geyser on the wall to kill him, the others are all optional just to speed up the process.
Each time you kill a spine or do enough damage, that segment of spine, or the first one, dies, and all the claws fall to the ground. Could possibly be picked up and used for a drill???
When killed, its eyes disappear (they are white smoke to begin with) and its body turn into a fossil in a poof of flame. If you wanted, you could be stupid and reincarnate it with a necromancy table, but other wise, the lava starts to drain away, then its fossil crumbles into its drops.
Need help with specifics and the physics of this!!!
Please tell me what you think!!!
Also, not sure if this matters, but in the dream, its weakness was supposedly either copper or brass.(there were two dragons, can't remember which was which)

Meh, it's probably better this way.
I don't think the diamond dimension thing was even in the spoilers. It specifically said, in the fifth freaking sentence of the OP: "We don't want a dimension made entirely out of diamond".
I swear, if I could give negative rep, I'd make multiple forum accounts and keep giving it to the guy who suggested the diamond nether.

I agree here, but since we want to be able to start in any dimension, we'll need a portal to and from the overworld to the corresponding dimensions.
Also I have an idea for mining/exploring the oceans:
A Diving Bell
just a basic craft, but you get the idea

2. Iron leggings?

How about this?
I doubt lapis or mossy cobble will be in other dimensions. The obsidian is there to make sure the player has diamonds.
Oh, and does anyone else notice how the word 'organizing' at the top of the OP is spelled with an 's'? It should be spelled with a 'z.'

Does anyone read the OP nowadays?
Nope. The zombie apocalypse has started, and anyone who gets infected loses use of their brains. Stay away from dumb people.
Just reposting my earth eye recipe
British people spell it with an S i believe.
No one reads the spoilers!! :angry.gif:
