By the way, I have an idea for the endermobs, in order of importance. A: they should all teleport. B: They are only hostile if you look at them C: They all have the same black color scheme with purple eyes D: They all drop normal enderpearls, with, say, a 75%-100% chance E: They all have one unique feature (endermen pick up blocks) and weakness (endermen are damaged by water) Obviously, the water weakness wouldn't make sense for a Nether (no water, remember?) mob, or a swimming mob, and only slightly more sense for a flying one.
All of them should be present in the expanded and boss End dimensions. They should either be like the current end, with tons and tons of them, or they would spawn more rarely but be hostile on sight
EDIT: They enrage them so they'll destroy their own dimensions.
I also think the shape of the endermobs should reflect the dimension they live in. IE how the enderman is tall and thin, like zombies, creepers, and skeletons, 3/4 of the common overworld enemies.
I had a thought a while ago, Maybe the ender mobs are trying destroy everything, and they're the reasons why you have to fight the bosses, they would do something that makes the bosses angry and you have beat them up to calm them down.
Dude, Its on purpose. When I first learned of the internet I misspelled my username. And ever since I stuck with it.
Okay, I understand, and to your question:
I don't think this thread will ever stop, nothing dies after a full stack of pages, and this thread has so much potential. It has the one quality that keeps threads alive: it can be expanded. I posted something once and the only resposes ad it were things like "cool", it died from lack of conversation.
I dont really think there should be an eather/air/heaven world. Maybe a mountain world. How about just having testificate-like creatures in all of them?
This isn't a post to suggest dimensions, just one to expand them. And the Npc's should be as various as there dimensions, and have them have features that reflect their dimensions, like angels would winged, while the merfolk would be able to not take water damage. If all the Npc's looked like Testifate's then it would be boring.
Well EVERYTHING is very well planned, im very exited about that water dimention, I have a name for it :smile.gif:
The pit of Abyssalus
Ive got a really nice idea for that dimention :smile.gif:
Have different temples , like 7 (7 seas)
These 7 temples are like strongholds are guarded by Sea people , sirens and other aquatic monsters, Hydras and Giant Lobsters.
Each of these temples would have a special orb, called :
1.-Orb Of The Moon
2.-Orb Of The Wave
3.-Orb Of The Tide
4.-Orb Of The Myst
5.-Orb Of The Abyss
6.-Orb Of The Ice
7.-Orb Of The Foam
When collecting all 7 , you can access the 8th temple, down in the sea floor , the temple it's self its locked up, you need to put each orb (like end portal)
When done, it will open up the vaults of a very large and ancient temple. In the most deep part of the temple hides the entrance of the Prison of the Kraken.
The Kraken's Fight would consists of the kraken it's self stranded in the middle of the room and its tentacles trying to get you.
We can't make the crust too big, we already have space issues as is (256 blocks tall is all we can work with, unless they better optimize mincraft)
Also, Some of these things don't seem to fit. The "crust" is suspended above the ocean, so I don't think there can be rivers and beaches.
Though I do like palm trees, I have been thinking of making the jungle a tropical one, so that could work.
The crust wont be that big. If the bottom of the crust is 192 above the bottom of the world, and its 10 blocks thick then that still leaves 54 blocks in which to put stuff. The beaches are very similar to that picture you put in the OP for the W.D only with sand instead of green stuff. As for the rivers, why not? Just because the crus is suspended doesn't mean no rivers. I think it would work quite well.

I see you are supportive of my kraken as a boss idea!
Although the temple should be open but the portal is closed, that way you get that so close and yet so far feel.
I call it Aquos, It has a simple name, and it fits a water dimension.

It would look cool with a river flowing down into the ocean part.
Nice idea ! I'm working in a dimension.. And this post helped me a lot! I'm full with awesome ideas about the bosses you mentioned and the biomes ... :smile.gif:
When people think of names for the water dimension, they shoud at let try to make the name cover the WHOLE dimension. The 'Ky' in Kyther means wave, and the name was suggested before the dimension took shape. Th abyss is a LAYER of the dimension, not the WHOLE dimension. Plaese don't use abyss in the name.
The water dimension is a subterrainian ocean, with a thin jungle crust with many holes. The ocean is very similar to real oceans, it has zones. The sunlit zone, twilight zone, midneight zone, abyss, and treanches.
Try making the name have something in it that means water or ocean. Nothing genaric, like Aquas, the most genaric name possible.
I just think it rude that he didn't answer your question.
maybe there could be different npc's for each dimension
overworld, Testificates (duh)
Water Dimension (maybe Aquos), Merfolk
Nether,???(Blazemen, and the already existing ones are just angry, IDK)
Skyworld, angels
any thoughts
Been thinking about this for a while. Though the nether might not have any inhabitants. They might have been there in the past though, or something, to make it all mysterious and stuff. There could be ruins of past villages and **** like that.

As of right now, we have an extremely limited budget on height. Even at 256, that isn't much to work with, and it will lag on lower end computers.
All I can really think to do is have Optifine be per-packaged with the mod to cut down on the lag. Even then though, any more then 256 might be pushing it.
So I was planning on having the crust be rather thin, so we would have at least 225 to play around with for the ocean.

True, I might take "The Abyss" from the OP, It really doesn't fit the current description.
I doubt this will be added to vanilla MC unfortunately, but this would be an awesome mod. It would certainly be, in the words of Gabe Newell, "worth the weight".

We are prolly going to make it a mod.
But if Jeb wants to add anything from it, he can :wink.gif:

Ok then, Get rid of mountains and big trees. I still don't see why we shouldn't have rivers.

There isn't a point to rivers. You could have channels eroded into the crust that would act like rivers at the bottom of short ravines. It would make more sense and look better, plus provide an easy route to the ocean.

Too many holes to have rivers, rivers are illogical without mountains.
