Maybe there could be a back story, and the ender beings are actually trying to anger the immortal lords of each dimension so they will destroy their own dimension. And maybe the bosses could be the lords (or whatever) of the dimensions and you actually don't kill them just calm them down.
I can give more detail if needed.
EDIT:Maybe like ender mobs in each dimension, with abilities that reflect the dimension itself.

Not all of these ideas are mine and I don't take credit for them this is just an organizer So far the vote stands:

I thought Endermobs were so obviously nescesary that they were certain to be in the mod but not added to the OP, oh well. I never thought of the alternate pearls though.
A few pages back I posted an idea for aquatic endermobs, there would be a biome in the water dimension called the pollution, where endermobs spawn. The pollution is the only place aquatic endermobs can live, since they die in normal water. In the end, there are bowl islands, they're full of polluted water and have a lot of aquatic endermobs.
I thought of some possible endermobs:
Water - Endereels
Nether - Enderwolves(big, not tamable)
Skylands - Enderwraiths?
I haven't gotten around to editing the OP, I might add it later.
Okay so I've been putting some thought into the jungle for The Deep. And this is what I've come up with.
Terrain
Beaches: These are circular depressions in the ground with a diameter ranging in size from 20 blocks to 70 blocks. They slope gently down from the jungle and end in a pool of water surrounded by sand. Palm trees, Crabs, Seabirds and Treasure chests can be found on the shore. Caves generate occasionally in the slope, leading to the oceans. The pools also lead to the ocean.
Waterfalls: These start at mountains that generate on the crust. They can be anything from 5 blocks wide to 20. They flow from pools or rivers on top of the mountains and flow into pools or rivers at the bottom. The stone near waterfalls is slippery, about half as slippery as ice. Behind the waterfalls cave generate, leading down to the ocean or just finishing in dead ends.
Mountains: These generate on the crust. They are similar to overworld mountains but with less impossible overhangs. They generate in clumps of 2 or 3, not as manny as mountain biomes in the overworld. They are pockmarked with caves that either lead to the ocean, each other or a dead end. No big trees grow on these, only little ones.
Rivers: Similar to overworld rivers but longer, wider and flowing. They also generate more frequently. The water moves fast enough to push a player sitting in a boat 3 blocks per second. The player can swim against these but only a a rate of 1/2 a block per second. There are many animals in these rivers. They finish in little waterfalls to the ocean.
Cliffs: Similar to Beaches but with sheer cliffs and no sand. The cliffs have a few caves in them that either lead to each other, the ocean or a dead end.
Plants
Palm Trees: These are found on the shores of beaches, they are about the same hight as normal trees, but with sloping trunks and fewer leaves. The leaves one these trees are arranged in the normal palm tree fashion. Coconuts can be found on these trees and knocked of by being punched.
Giant Trees: Similar to the overworlds jungle trees, but much much bigger. The biggest of the can grow up to 50 blocks heigh and have 6x6 thick trunks.
Fruit Trees: These look like smaller versions of the giant trees, with coloured blocks hanging of them. These can be punched and harvested. The fruit will grow back after 1 minecraft day. The different types of fruit tree are: Banana, Mango, Dragonfruit and Guava. Each of these fruits heals 1 chicken leg.
Fruit Plants These are other types of plants that grow fruit that aren't trees. The different types of these are: Cocoa Bean Plants, Pineapple Plants and Passionfruit Vines.
Animals
Birds of Paradise These are colourful birds that fly around in the jungle. They range in size from 1/4 of a block to 1 1/4 of a block and drop coloured feather when killed. These can be used for decorative purposes (I don't know how, maybe coloured arrows :tongue.gif:).
Crabs: These are found on the shores of beaches and are about the size of a half block. They are passive, but will deal half a hearts damage when walked into. They drop crab meat which can be cooked and eaten for 1.5 chicken legs.
Seabirds: These are found on the shores of beaches and in the water. The fly around and serve no purpose other then aesthetics. They drop feathers when killed.
Pirañas: These are found in rivers. They are hostile fish that deal 1 hearts damage with each bite. They drop raw fish when killed.
Note: I've left monkey out, since they are certain to be in the overworld)
Misc
Treasure Chests: Occasionally found washed up on shore. It's just a chest on a beac basically. In these chests are bits of diving equipment, underwater minerals, some bubble blocks, some glow goo and maybe one or two rare items.
Feedback please. I put quite a lot of thought into this.

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
Just a few suggestions, (ive skipped alot of pages so sorry if any thing is repeated)
Ideas for the over world
I know its been suggested that the boss fight be in some giant cave like structure, which i like but perhaps it could have more plant life added to it, maybe some sort of well of life or something. It should seem like life flourishes there, but i dont like the idea of it being a Golem as the boss.
The reason for this is we lean in a direction that everything is just about fighting giant monsters, The Over world is the most dynamic dimension and is full of life, I suggest the idea that there is more of a guardian, or Earth Mother here.
The portal leading to the earth mother could be much more controversial, and have consequences. Maybe passive mobs become aggressive to the player around the portal as if they are protecting it. Maybe the over world becomes a more hostile place after the boss is killed, but ill leave the ideas open there.
This I think give the mod much more of a connection with the player, rather then just go and fight this this and this.
Ideas for the end
My main concern I have is the would be End changed too much.
The idea that I think is behind the end is that it is meant to be creepy, but notch imo seems to just have plonked the ender dragon in there, and it dosent fit and ruins that atmosphere. However i think the end should be minimal, but theres still room for expansion.
As far as the landscape goes, the floating island seems lazy to me, i think the end should be more infinite, white and flat (not completely), and white stone and obsidian create a concrete black and white feel to the place, which is cool. But if the landscape were to be more infinite there could be things like Ravines, accept that then have void pits at the bottom, or maybe some other deliberate world holes.
Mobs are a difficult thing to find a place in the ender, and id like to suggest that if any, they should be passive then agressive like the endermen.
The one idea i do have though, is that perhaps some form of passive wisp or ghost or lost souls, that randomly spawn anywhere, But they all travel towards a fixed point (perhaps the ender dragon portal, and after the dragon is defeated they could roam freely?) or maybe just in a specific direction sometimes falling into world holes, Giving them some sort of purpose to their movement.
(If anyone here has ever read Philip Pullmans dark materials books, the dimension of the dead is perhaps a good idea to emulate a slightly more.)
Ideas for the Water Dimension.
Not as much to suggest here, there have been alot of very good ideas. My idea is based on some Norse mythology here, for the water boss, you could have something like a Giant sea serpent, which you fight in some circular arena of icebergs? The ideas of fire and ice, nether and the W.D. compliment each other in a way. Not to say that the whole water dimension should be cold and icy, but its a nice idea.
Perhaps this Sea serpent isnt something you could fight immediately either, perhaps it would have to be lured out with some sort of bait or extended fishing dynamic that come from the main water dimension.
Also I have to say, i love the whole idea behind the mod, Well done.
Nice ideas, but the Water Dimension is supposed to be a tropical ocean, not a icy one. I would love to see a serpent as the W.D. boss though.
Maybe there could be a back story, and the ender beings are actually trying to anger the immortal lords of each dimension so they will destroy their own dimension. And maybe the bosses could be the lords (or whatever) of the dimensions and you actually don't kill them just calm them down.

I think all of these are great, but we do have to worry about the height, but there could be different openings into the water. We could have what's already been planned, slow decent beaches, and cliffs that jut in. I love the water falls and running rivers too :tongue.gif:
But crabs in the water dimension should be hostile mobs that only spawn on sand and underwater and are like 2x4x3. Really like the piranhas though and the jungle spiders that have been suggested. Would also add sea turtles( 2x2 possibly tameable, neutral mobs that hunt jellyfish/ squid, could serve as a boat or combat helper when tamed).
Also while in water, you should still move slowly, but certain creatures don't take speed reduction and some even speed up (like crabs) while in water.
Other mob ideas:
Something like magma cubes and slimes a Bio-Cube
light blue with yellow eyes
emits a light level of 8 (bio-luminescent cube)
moves by springing to the side instead of up like the magma cube.
would drop luminessence, basically something you can craft into a block for light, or mix with jellyfish goop to make the underwater torches
and then maybe a clam/sea urchin
a block sized mob
c: invincible when shut, but when it opens, loot can be found inside, can be killed and replaced on land and made into basically a chest
s-u: hostile mob that hurts you by coming in contact with you, when killed drops urchin spines that could be used as the fins of the harpoons/spears
We can't make the crust too big, we already have space issues as is (256 blocks tall is all we can work with, unless they better optimize mincraft)
Also, Some of these things don't seem to fit. The "crust" is suspended above the ocean, so I don't think there can be rivers and beaches.
Though I do like palm trees, I have been thinking of making the jungle a tropical one, so that could work.
One way to solve that problem is if you go far enough down it will load it like another dimension, these would count as parts of the main dimension not as side dimensions, this would make it so that you wouldn't have problems with the height cap.

No, this would make everything look very unclean and messy, not to mention it would break up all the underground tunnels and dungeons. I think there was a mod that let you raise the height limit... It would make things a bit more laggy, but it would give us alot more room to work with and would make it look nice.
I'm just throwing this out but maybe the overworld's boss could be a giant armidillo-ish creature that has an attack where it curls up and rolls at you, and you have to dodge it, but when it hits the wall it gets dizzy or confused and gives you a time where it opens up it's guard and you can attack, but of course it has other attacks.

It was just an idea, which means it wasn't meant to be taken seriously, it was just a possible solution. I did notice those problems. Although that solution would possibly be better, but it also has problems, like lag issues. Most ideas should be taken into consideration.
EDIT: this has really unstructured sentencing sorry.
I've decided endereels shouldn't be exclusive to the pollution biome in the W.D., they should also be a treanch mob, and are completely immune to water damage. The water in the end is still polluted, to keep other endermobs from taking water damage.
The Endmander is a dark lizard 3 blocks long. It will usually reside in the forests of Nether-roots. When it sees a player killing something it will run up to the player and grab you in its jaw. It will then try and drag you to the nearest lava source to burn you. If the source is too far away the creature will start to teleport with you to get there sooner.
Once killed it drops an enderpearl.
Sounds like a teleporting crocodile. I think any hostile reptilian nether monster should be agile and raptor-like, 2x2x2, for pure awesomeness.
By the way, I have an idea for the endermobs, in order of importance. A: they should all teleport. B: They are only hostile if you look at them C: They all have the same black color scheme with purple eyes D: They all drop normal enderpearls, with, say, a 75%-100% chance E: They all have one unique feature (endermen pick up blocks) and weakness (endermen are damaged by water) Obviously, the water weakness wouldn't make sense for a Nether (no water, remember?) mob, or a swimming mob, and only slightly more sense for a flying one.
All of them should be present in the expanded and boss End dimensions. They should either be like the current end, with tons and tons of them, or they would spawn more rarely but be hostile on sight
I also think the shape of the endermobs should reflect the dimension they live in. IE how the enderman is tall and thin, like zombies, creepers, and skeletons, 3/4 of the common overworld enemies.

We're going to need more then one modder for this. Plus, the idea is nowhere NEAR complete.

The mini roots should probably not be re-textured fences, looks kinda wrong IMO.
I was thinking more like this
The mini root being around the width of a fence post
What he said.
We are going to need a whole team of really experience modders for this.

Minecraft should not have a story.
Well, obviously it won't be a fence, but its the closest thing I had to retexture. :tongue.gif:
