Okay so I've been putting some thought into the jungle for The Deep. And this is what I've come up with.
Terrain
Beaches: These are circular depressions in the ground with a diameter ranging in size from 20 blocks to 70 blocks. They slope gently down from the jungle and end in a pool of water surrounded by sand. Palm trees, Crabs, Seabirds and Treasure chests can be found on the shore. Caves generate occasionally in the slope, leading to the oceans. The pools also lead to the ocean.
Waterfalls: These start at mountains that generate on the crust. They can be anything from 5 blocks wide to 20. They flow from pools or rivers on top of the mountains and flow into pools or rivers at the bottom. The stone near waterfalls is slippery, about half as slippery as ice. Behind the waterfalls cave generate, leading down to the ocean or just finishing in dead ends.
Mountains: These generate on the crust. They are similar to overworld mountains but with less impossible overhangs. They generate in clumps of 2 or 3, not as manny as mountain biomes in the overworld. They are pockmarked with caves that either lead to the ocean, each other or a dead end. No big trees grow on these, only little ones.
Rivers: Similar to overworld rivers but longer, wider and flowing. They also generate more frequently. The water moves fast enough to push a player sitting in a boat 3 blocks per second. The player can swim against these but only a a rate of 1/2 a block per second. There are many animals in these rivers. They finish in little waterfalls to the ocean.
Cliffs: Similar to Beaches but with sheer cliffs and no sand. The cliffs have a few caves in them that either lead to each other, the ocean or a dead end.
Plants
Palm Trees: These are found on the shores of beaches, they are about the same hight as normal trees, but with sloping trunks and fewer leaves. The leaves one these trees are arranged in the normal palm tree fashion. Coconuts can be found on these trees and knocked of by being punched.
Giant Trees: Similar to the overworlds jungle trees, but much much bigger. The biggest of the can grow up to 50 blocks heigh and have 6x6 thick trunks.
Fruit Trees: These look like smaller versions of the giant trees, with coloured blocks hanging of them. These can be punched and harvested. The fruit will grow back after 1 minecraft day. The different types of fruit tree are: Banana, Mango, Dragonfruit and Guava. Each of these fruits heals 1 chicken leg.
Fruit Plants These are other types of plants that grow fruit that aren't trees. The different types of these are: Cocoa Bean Plants, Pineapple Plants and Passionfruit Vines.
Animals
Birds of Paradise These are colourful birds that fly around in the jungle. They range in size from 1/4 of a block to 1 1/4 of a block and drop coloured feather when killed. These can be used for decorative purposes (I don't know how, maybe coloured arrows :tongue.gif:).
Crabs: These are found on the shores of beaches and are about the size of a half block. They are passive, but will deal half a hearts damage when walked into. They drop crab meat which can be cooked and eaten for 1.5 chicken legs.
Seabirds: These are found on the shores of beaches and in the water. The fly around and serve no purpose other then aesthetics. They drop feathers when killed.
PiraƱas: These are found in rivers. They are hostile fish that deal 1 hearts damage with each bite. They drop raw fish when killed.
Note: I've left monkey out, since they are certain to be in the overworld)
Misc
Treasure Chests: Occasionally found washed up on shore. It's just a chest on a beac basically. In these chests are bits of diving equipment, underwater minerals, some bubble blocks, some glow goo and maybe one or two rare items.
Also jellomob, that root ideas not bad. But I'm not quite sure how it fits in with the nether, could you explain that please. (note, I've definitely been ninja'd since I started writing this about half an hour ago, I distracted and left for a bit but kept this open. So if my question has already been answered, sorry.)
Any feedback is appreciated.
Cucumber
These are really good ideas, I'd like to see these implimented
Note:
Not all of these ideas are mine and I don't take credit for them this is just an organizer So far the vote stands:
Over world Ores:
Coal 2 :smile.gif:
Iron 2 :smile.gif:
Gold 2 :smile.gif:
Diamond 2 :smile.gif:
Lapis 2 :smile.gif:
Redstone 2 :smile.gif:
Obsidian 2 :smile.gif:
Rendareum 1 :huh.gif: 1 :mellow.gif:
That looks good. Maybe if the roots had small tufts of dark leaves that will allow magma-bloom fruit from my suggestion.
wow, this is also a really good idea that has grown very quickly....can I add anything....hmmm
maybe the roots should come out the ceilings and occasionally branch out onto the ground, and these root walls could be a common spawning place for the Crawlers (nether spider suggestion)
I made this suggestion in another reply, but it didn't get much attention and I feel it's worthy of its own post.
Anyways, perhaps in each dimension, there would be a unique "Ender mob". Each Ender mob is more difficult than the other mobs in its respective dimension and be designed to suit it as well. (ex. The Skylands endermob would fly, the Nether mob would be immune to fire, etc. ) Each type would drop a special type of Ender Pearl which would replace the normal one for eyes and dimension pearls, as well as grant limited abilities when used. Also, when the player reaches the end, it is inhabited by all 4 Endermobs.
What gameplay value would this have, though? For one, this would allow the player to obtain the dimension's eyes with them ever needing to head to the Overworld for Ender pearls. In addition, it keeps things fresh without the need to fight the same mob 48 times, as well as adding a "final area" atmosphere to the End.
I thought Endermobs were so obviously nescesary that they were certain to be in the mod but not added to the OP, oh well. I never thought of the alternate pearls though.
A few pages back I posted an idea for aquatic endermobs, there would be a biome in the water dimension called the pollution, where endermobs spawn. The pollution is the only place aquatic endermobs can live, since they die in normal water. In the end, there are bowl islands, they're full of polluted water and have a lot of aquatic endermobs.
I thought of some possible endermobs:
Water - Endereels
Nether - Enderwolves(big, not tamable)
Skylands - Enderwraiths?
Please feel free to ask questions and comment, I want to explain something...anything... :tongue.gif:
I think iron and gold should be in all dimensions in some way. Redstone can be harder to get, but at least a dungeon reward in all dimensions. I think too many ores is a bad idea, especially modern ones. I also like platinum, and want silver and aquamarine added to the list. I thought of aquamarine in the water dimension, it looks cool, fits the theame, is unique, and it's useful, it's a teir between iron and sapphire and it works better underwater. You can make cyan dye out of it too.
I saw the nether fences there, and I assumed they were added for aesthetic purposes.
There should be a new block that acts exactly like redstone wire that grows around the roots. It is destroyed in one hit, and unlike redstone wire it cannot be picked up. It would be the same color as the roots and have a texture like vines.
I think these roots should be very rare.
The whole thing is supposed to be a roots system as opposed to a tree.

Minecraft makes me feel like I'm three. Playing with blocks and afraid of the dark.
Water realm: Endereels (from FireHawkDelta). Eel made up of multiple segments. If these segments are attacked, the player takes damage. It can only be hurt from the head. Has 20 hearts.
Nether: Endersaurs. A giant lizard-like mob, it's immune to fire. It can stomp on the ground to stun nearby players. However, this can be avoided by jumping with correct timing. Also has 20 hearts.
Skylands: Enderghosts. Basically the Dark Spirits from The End V2 suggestion. It's capable of floating. When provoked, it teleports to the player and creates 5 fakes. If these fakes are attacked, they vanish and shoot a projectile, but if the real one is attacked, the fakes disappear, and the cycle continues until it dies. Has 20 hearts.
But what do the pearls do?
Water pearl: For 5 seconds, the player recieves the Electrified buff, where any mob that attacks will receive 1 heart of recoil damage.
Nether pearl: All mobs nearby are stunned for 5 seconds.
Skylands pearl: The player gets the Illusion buff, where 4 fakes of the player are created. They follow the player around, and mobs will attack either a fake or the real player. If the real player is attacked, the fakes dissapear, but the clones disappear if they are attacked. In SMP, the 4 fakes will also have name tags of their respective player, to make them useful in PVP.

Awesome, but there needs to be a new ability for the overworld pearl if the others don't just teleport, the overworld pearl could distort(move blocks) the surroundings to confuse mobs. The current ender pearl could be all of the pearls crafted together, it yeilds 4 ender pearls.
I really like your endermobs, when I said enderwraiths I basically meant enderghosts, but yours has an ability.
OFF TOPIC: the endersaurs make me think of the dark lizalfoses from Skyward Sword, probbably because I think lizalfoses are awesome and I was playing Skyward Sword a few minutes ago.

The logic behind the pearl's powers is that they're the source of these mob's special abilities. The Endermen teleporting is what makes them stand out. Not the block moving.
Besides, how could blocks moving confuse a mob? Since your character can move blocks around by himself in a similar way to Endermen, the block grabbing likely isn't a special power and thus shouldn't be noted for the pearl's ability.

So endermen are the only teleporting endermob? Okay. Also, do you think enderguardians should be in the end? I made them up to make the end feel more like the end. There are three enderguardians, they eack drop a key fragment, the fragments can be crafted into a key that opens a door of some kind(Yeah, so original) that leads into a bedrock room with the boss portal.

The concept is pretty cool. How do they behave? Are they a tougher version of normal Endermobs?

Thcan be tougher versions of normal endermobs, or like no normal endermob and just be unique. They don't even require ender at the beginning of their names, they just need to fit in with the environment. I thought of one once that I think is really cool:
The Obsidalisk. It's an obsidian snake with 27 segments, each an obsidian block. Every time a segment is broken, the obsidalisk gets shorter. Segments have to be mined like normal obsidian blocks, with a pickaxe. The segments keep cracks and take hits instead of mining time, to keep it from being too hard.
The obsidalisk is found as a 3x3x3 obsidian cube with eyes on the center block of one side, hitting any part of it causes it to uncoil and attack.

Nice!
BTW, after we get all these new bosses worked out, we desperately need to make the Endderdragon harder. He barely even tries to kill you! All he does is fly around. Meanwhile, we have bosses the spit lava, summon earthquakes, and do countless other things.

Yeah, we should really focus on buffing the enderdragon, it's a weak, pathetic coward. The last enderdragon buff thread I saw barely buffed it at all, it had tons of paragraphs that make it way more annoying to get to the end, and one sentence saying the enderdragon gets fireballs and attacks more often.
We need to all work together to buff the enderdragon.
Nether Root?
We need 3d modelers to help on Spirit Realm+!
There are smaller miniature roots that stick out from the main root system, (shown here as fences)
Breaking these smaller roots will sometimes yield a plant-able root, (shown here as a sapling.)

I did take some inspiration from this. Though the uses are obviously different.
