Perhaps the Skylands could have a thundercloud mob? It would fly up to you, float above you for a bit, then strike you with lightning. Maybe it could drop lightning bolts or something, and those could be crafted into a block that shocks you on contact. We really need a block that damages you on contact, because lava does a terrible job at that, with burning the items and all.....
Also, the water dimension should have reagents for water breathing potions. Just sayin'.

These could add temporary extra time to your diving suit, I like.
As for the thundercloud mob, that ain't a bad idea.
Both require no account, are MUCH faster, have NO bandwidth limit, and have less ads.
In short, faster, easier, and more enjoyable. I recommend imgur though, because you can upload up to 140,000 images at once.
I usually use photobucket, but I have a backup imgur account just in case.
Also, perhaps the Skylands could have some sort of gliding mechanic? Seeing as how the water dimension has the diving suit and the overworld has boats / minecarts / pigs, it might work well for the Skylands. Some sort of limited flying machine, perhaps?

What do you think of the End Brick textures? :smile.gif:
They are a pretty good start, but the difference between the normal and cracked versions are not really apparent at a distance.
I would suggest making the brick size in the texture bigger, and maybe have the color be more of a dark purple-ish color like obsidian to make the cracks more visible at a distance.
Liquidized rubber...I like it! It goes with my glow furnace thing too!
i just don't stop coming up with ideas... :biggrin.gif:
First of all, in every dimension, the items that always occur would always be wood and cobblestone, the essentials.
now to the main ideas.
now since the actual crust in The Deep is only like 10-25 blocks, there should be little if no vital materials there, simple enough? instead: the starting things will be all in the trees.
liquid rubber would be harvested from trees using bottles, made with naturally occurring sand somewhere on the crust. instead of a traditional furnace, you would have something like a brewing stand, where you put the bottle in like one, have a fuel instead of an ingredient added, but have a product. in this case: rubber.
furnaces in this dimension wouldn't be too big, since stone isn't very plentiful.
instead of coal, you would use wood, or coal after going underwater and mining the coal there. see, the giant ocean down below wouldn't be just an endless pit, it would have underwater hills, like oceans in the overworld. the deeper parts would be common as well, and trenches wouldn't be too plentiful. of course souljabri, you could make that glow furnace with the materials underwater. it just wouldn't be the first thing, like the workbench.
now to the nether...
wow this place is already here and all it has useful are blaze rods and nether wart O.o
well going back to what i stated before, the "partially-fireproof suit", you would simply take apart netherrak, by placing netherrak in yet another special crafting bench-thing, and make (can't think of a not-strange name), then you cook it, making refined netherrak. now you must be thinking: how, and where, XGen, do you get the wood, and cobblestone to make this? the answer... is a soul tree... and if that don't make sense... it grows on soul sand... and if that still doesn't make sense, it doesn't have any leaves, and has a brick-reddish like color tone in the wood, while still looking a little dry. and for those who aren't too resourceful, this also comes with a new passive nether mob (no idea what it'll look like, or what it'll drop exactly, except that it'll drop food), if you don't like killing zombie pigmen for their meat.
sadly, the aether is probably the most simple dimension. its just a large overworld island map, but with no water or anything under that. but, its potential give hope :biggrin.gif:. Now, the main thing about this dimension should be harvesting. see, the islands shouldn't be too big, for a start, to prevent a too permanent home. you would need to pretty much suck an island dry of materials, and then make a bridge to another nearby island, starting the process all over again. the different mobs would be the secondary difference of it from the overworld, the first being the fact that there are only small islands.
Well I'm half-asleep so idk if this one came out too good, so please comment and let me know
Do NOT get the Jellyfish started with another swords vs. guns rant.
Harpoon guns sound somewhat interesting, but I don't see how underwater nukes could ever work. Perhaps harpoon guns could be the substitute for the bow and arrow.
spears, end of story :biggrin.gif: long range, and projectile
any variation of guns, i think, feels too advanced for Vanilla MC
The water dimension has guns because all good games have guns, like cod is better than zelda for example.
Harpoon guns maybe and underwater nukes
Nice try buddy. Your attempts at trolling are laughable.

I have been thinking about having throw-able spears for that instead.

NO FPS EVER MADE CAN COMPARE TO ZELDA! ZELDA IS TOO AWESOME FOR GUNS! AN FPS HAS BORING WEAK BOSSES AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SHOOT THEM ZELDA HAS FUN AWESOME BOSSES LIKE TENTALUS!

All of which have interesting storylines, awesome weapon variation, great bosses, and amazing role-playing. The only exceptions I can think of are games like CoD and Battlefield, which are simply simulations and appeal to an entirely different audience.
Does anyone have any ideas for coral/sponge/kelp forests? Also, somebody stole the idea of the with a "The Kyther" thread.
Enough fps talk.
Back on topic, kelp could be used in crafting some sort of food.

Zelda has a little kid that goes solo all times and still obliterates, and although the recent ones suck horribly, majora's mask covers that up, and has a better story than any FPS
What kind of fish? How is it caught? Is there any special item you need?
at the moment, just fish
caught manually by killing it then looting it as fish, or with a rod. by special item i suppose you mean a fishing rod or sword
and actually now that you mention it up there somewhere, stackable javelins would be better than a harpoon gun and ammo
I guess Koloktos was cool, but Tentalus was huge and obliterated a ship! Though I stuggled more on Koloktos, and the most difficult SwS boss for me is Moldarach, it's hard to hit its right claw.
One cool thing about SwS bosses is that most bosses require you to use your newest item.

In case you didn't know, the harpoon gun was invented in about 500 B.C. Far before the scuba suit, which was about 1850.
I think it is fair to include a harpoon gun.
but not as efficient i would rather carry javelins extra melee range+projectile than an hgun and separate ammo spears that have no dmg bonuses
and actually i didn't know that so thanks
First up to be added is that pearl and eye concept we thought up a while ago.
Also, the water dimension should have reagents for water breathing potions. Just sayin'.

Magic saddles? For riding pigs?
I put my album on private.

One: don't respond to the trolls please
Two: Koloktos was best boss
Three: Let's get back on topic
cod is better cuz of multiplayer otherwise
CoD<Zelda

F=Raw fish

SUSHI!!!!
anyway, how about my newer idea a few pages back? i want know how i did that time
