I have a new section of the OP that you could put in: Ender
Each of the four main dimensions will have its own 'ender' mob. They all have 5 things in common. The first is that they are peaceful unless looked at. The second is that their fighting strategy is based off of teleportation abilities. Third, they are damaged by water (I'm thinking they would spawn on the surface and in shipwrecks in the waterdimension). Fourth, They are all black with glowing purple eyes. Fifth, they drop an enderpearl on death, with a 100% chance (it annoys me how the endermen only drop their pearls about 1 in 5 times you kill them, which may be due to them teleporting away after I hit them fatally).
-insert different ender mobs here-
Enderpearls have two main uses. They can be crafted into earth, fire, air, water, or ender eyes, which are needed to find and activate the five main boss portals. Their secondary use is to craft into earth, fire, air, or water eyes, which, when used, will teleport the player to the appropriate dimension, with five hearts of damage (to prevent people from using them when they are about to die as a life saver). The pearls will be used up upon teleportation.
This is a really cool idea, so i'm going to "bump" it
Nether's side dimension should be a bunch of nodules (smooth, irregular rocks) of netherrack and lava, coated and dripping with poison/slowing/glowing slimeblocks and slime-liquid, netherfish (like red maggot silverfish), populated by giant nether-wasps and mosquitos, and giant hollow hives of bees. SLIME/BEE HELL.

Sounds awesome to me.

Minecraft makes me feel like I'm three. Playing with blocks and afraid of the dark.
Honestly anubis wasn't much of a fighter - he was just a judge, and the guy who made sure embalmings were a-ok.
And Quetzalcoatl was a nice guy - the god of the sun, fertility, and all kinds of benevolent stuff. Not really sure why you'd fight him.
Personally, I think that the bosses should be unique inventions, not found in other mythologies
i still think cerbrus would be cool but of course they would not call it that it would be called hell hound or something also the over would boss should be a gaint golem notch as well and could be called over lord cause all the boss names start with a varition of the world their found in enderdragon the end hellhound nether and overlord overworld ans since hes the creator of mc hes the lord

Safes
I had the idea for something called a safe. This might get technical, so bear with me.
Basically, the safe would be a chest that is assigned a number based on its method of creation, like a map. If it is a naturally generated safe, it will have a number 1-10. If it is player made it will start at 11 and progress from there, like creating maps. Chests correspond to keys with the same number, which are labeled the same way. Dropped by mobs/looted from chests of other safes will be randomly assigned 1-10, and player made will progress from 11. There will be several types of safes and keys. Some examples could be iron, gold, diamond, Netherbrick, Aetherbrick, Endbrick, and Kytherbrick. These will be generated naturally in structures, maybe even getting their own structures similar to dungeons.
Along with these safes comes several new mobs, which might either spawn rarely throughout the world or spawn from spawners in a new kind of structure. Depending on the mob it has a chance of dropping a different key. I will just refer to these mobs as "locksmiths" for simplicity. A Nether locksmith, for example, could be found rarely in Nether forts and drop a Netherbrick Key that could unlock some of the chests found throughout the dungeon. You might be swimming around the Kyther and come across a load of treasure locked in safes, and mark it for later. After coming across and killing a locksmith fish you could come back and get some of the load. I hope you get the idea.
To coordinate which locks go with which safes, there could be prefixes that the key and chest will share. For player created keys and safes, the prefix would be just a number based on how many you created. For example, your first iron safe and iron key would be called "Iron Key 1" or "Iron Chest 1", whereas your sixth would be called "Iron Key 6", and so on. For naturally generated chests, there would be a prefix for each number. Keys and safes with a number of 1 might be called "Etched Iron Key" and "Etched Iron Safe", where as one with a number of 5 might be called "Chiseled Iron Key" or "Chiseled Iron Safe." When you right click the safe without the proper key, a sentence will pop up informing you that this safe requires an Etched Iron Key. This means the player will know which key they need to get the sweet loot inside that well-guarded safe.
Notes:
Destroying the safe will destroy its contents, but it is very difficult to break and has the blast resistance of obsidian. Chests and keys don't stack, but keys can be enchanted with an enchantment called Bound (which could also be applied to tools and weapons), which keeps the key in your inventory after death, for a number of deaths dependent on the level of the enchantment. This allows you to hold onto the key to your diamond safe without worrying about it getting burned or lost.
I did a chest retexture as an example of what a Netherbrick Safe might look like and what its contents could be.
To go along with this, there should be some reason to keep your valuables in safes on single player as well. I am not sure how to go about this without be annoying, but there could be some sort of bandit enemy that will open doors and take valuables from chests, run away, and drop them on death if killed. That is just the first thing I could think of, however. I am sure there is some way to give the safes a use without making it annoying.
I apologize if there are some grammar mistakes, I am doing this on a lack of sleep.
Really hate to quote myself, but this thread moves so fast its hard to get one of your ideas to be noticed.

Jellomob, replying to what you said in my "The Haven" thread, you can add anything you want from that thread to this thread. I don't know if I can get my code-experience guys to help you, and I personally do the writing, imaging and 3D modelling and not coding. In short, if you want visually pleasing things, I can give them to you and then some.
In fact, I'm more than willing to add any "The Haven" updates to just this thread here, instead of the one I made. If you allow that.
Snap bro, thanks! Consider it done, this may take a bit, but I am gonna take the ideas from your thread and refine em a bit, then stuff it in the OP.
If you want to post updates here, you are welcome to!
I have an idea for the "Eye of Drowned" or something like that:
Angler fish glow/bioluminescent thing and...
a rare piece of coral, found deep, maybe something like brain coral?
Another thing: the water there has to be different, to allow light to pass through much better
And if player with to take this revolutionary water they must use a special container, made with uncommon (not rare) ingredients, and acts like lava in the sense that it can't be made into an infinite source.
I have an idea for a water dimension and end biome!
These biomes are the pollution in the water dimension, and the bowl in the end. These biomes allow aquatic endermobs!
The pollution: an area in the water dimension where the water is polluted, you take damage without a suit, and there are endermobs everywhere. The endermobs can't leave the pollution, they take damage from clean water.
The bowl: in the end, all water is polluted, some islands are bowls. Bowls are exactly what they sound like, giant bowls full of polluted water. Aquatic endermobs live in bowls.
How may times do I have to quote mysefl to get anything noticed? If this is noticed, I'd like a reply.
Sorry, I just thought of a sollution to where aquatic endermobs could spawn, I wanted to know if my idea was good.
In my opinion it would look very odd, but its a possibility. I don't think there should be water in the End, instead it should be some sort of oil that creates an ominous particle effect.
It works, but I never imagined aquatic Endermobs anyway.

Interesting. I always thought another "Eye" didn't fit very well. I like Brain Coral, but about the bioluminescent thing, I think the water boss should be like a giant anglerfish hydra with bioluminescent lights, and that is its drop. Imagine fighting a boss in pitch black, then seeing a pair of red glowing lights charging at you :biggrin.gif:
THAT WOULD BE EPIC!!! *looks around in dark place* I CANT SEE ANYTHING!!! *sees lights in distance* hey look a dungeon! is it... moving..? *sees giant scary-looking fish charging at you* HOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLYYYYYY SSSSHHHII--
now for some more of my ideas :biggrin.gif:
well the BL light+brain coral would just be like guides to his portal, since you can't have a boss prancing around in the main world
also, different ores in different dimensions...
to reference our nifty Earth, different places have different things.
you can't find iron anywhere on our planet, same as you can only find iron in the overworld.
maybe you can find liquid rubber in The Deep ( i prefer that name :biggrin.gif:) and then cook it for waterproof suits to dive
somehow take apart netherrak in the nether and use it to craft somewhat fire-proof armor in the nether, so you can originally spawn ANYWHERE, and still survive and thrive, but in different ways.
AND so the player isn't too overpowered (the ability to shove a poisonous wart with a golden slice of melon then drink it to feel better is an example) all the special items for every dimension deactivate when you go to another
EG:
In: The Deep with diving suit *jump trough portal to overworld* your suit doesn't work anymore! O.O
you get the basic idea
I have concluded that these should be some of the new underwater elements:
Basalt, Death Snow, and Coral, Hydrothermal Vents.
___________________
In Real Life:
Basalt is an igneous rock that is found in oceans. It is commonly found on the ocean floor at all depths.
"Death Snow" is particles of dead organisms that died close to the surface of the water. This is how the lowest parts of the deep-sea food chains get their food. This varies from microscopic bacteria to massive whales.
Coral is an animal that lives in reefs close to the surface. It is a haven for wildlife.
Hydrothermal Vents are quite possibly the most extravagant and lively wildlife havens in the entire world. Groups of bacteria, reptiles, fish, mammals, and more are seen in massive amounts here. The life here does not need "Death Snow" or the sun to live; these underwater volcanoes give off a lot of energy.
___________________
In Minecraft:
Basalt can be mined with normal tools. However, this is one of the only blocks that can be mined by them. It could be cooked in a Basalt furnace (made the same way as a cobblestone one. It is cooked with Glow Goo instead of coal, wood, etc) to make Refined Basalt. Refined Basalt can make pickaxes, machetes, shovels, and spears. Notice how machete replaces axe and spear replace sword.
Basalt does naturally occur at the ocean bottom, I don't see why not. Basalt could line the ocean bottom, as well as the deeper parts of the water dimension. Not sure about the furnace though, I think we should wit before adding any more utilities that are similar to ones we already have.
Death Snow would be a weather effect for the ocean. While "Death Snowing", scavenger mobs (like crabs) would become more frequent, and normal mobs would become slightly less frequent. Maybe with a cauldron made of some kind of underwater ore, it could be harvested, and the cauldron would fill up slowly. You could then collect then snow with some kind of bucket. When combing this snow with glow goo, it creates blue underwater fire used to ignite mobs, and possibly solve traps! Death Snow would get much rarer the deeper you go.
An interesting concept, the blue fire could probably work, though maybe from something other than another cauldron. Maybe if you craft a flint and steel with a certain item it gives you a different flint and steel that creates blue fire.
Coral would form in Coral Reefs in the first layer that house many fish and other close-to-surface mobs. Further down, there would be sponge forests in the second layer (already a block, so it would be easy), and kelp forests in the third layer (just a variant of vines, also easy).
I can see the sponge forests now :smile.gif: I like it! Prolly gonna add this to the OP
Hydrothermal Vents would be a new structure that forms only in the third and fourth layers of the sea dimension. they would be approximately 8 blocks in diameter, and would be longer than they are wide, making a ridge. Schools of fish and underwater crabs would be abundant here. Hydrothermal vents, like in real life, form ridges, so they would only spawn about one every five chunks due to their size. When magma erupts out of them, even in the icy cold water, it still causes damage to the player.
Though 8 blocks wide is a little much, I see what you are saying. The vents are for the lower ocean and the ocean bottom.
Though I like the magma idea, getting that to work in-game might be difficult.
In my opinion it would look very odd, but its a possibility. I don't think there should be water in the End, instead it should be some sort of oil that creates an ominous particle effect.
It works, but I never imagined aquatic Endermobs anyway.
The end water is polluted, it looks very oily, it's the color of obsidian. The pollution in the water dimension also has the end water, so it's obsidian colored too.

Finally finished, but I need help getting the images up...
Have them on a word file, and a pdf, but don't know how to get them here...
Make an account at imageshack or photobucket (both are free), then upload your pictures and put the image url in image tags. For example
Thanks
maybe I'll have these pictures up sometime in the near future...
