The amount of Endermen in the End should be lessened, too. They're absolutely everywhere as of now, they should be thinned out. The End should also have a hostile mob. Perhaps a golem made out of Endstone?
that would be cool, now we just need to add some more end mobs.
Yep. I think enderman should have white eyes to fit in with the whole contrast between black and white thing I was going for. Some examples of mobs could be some sort of bat like mob that nests in the ruined buildings. Considering that Enderman move blocks, we could also do a sort of shifting thing where a lot of mobs can move blocks. Maybe some sort of flying creature with no collision detection that picks up blocks around it like the tornado mod and places them once they make contact with a block not occupied by a mob. This would basically mean they could tunnel through islands be displacing and replacing blocks, or totally change the landscape if in large numbers.
There should also be a new liquid, some sort of block oily substance, a black mineral and a white mineral. Not sure what they could do.
Its funny because his panties are in a bunch because his suggestions suck.
Should probably get back on topic...
Just throwing this out there. If you guys are going to make the End its own full dimension then it needs more than two blocks. What I was thinking is you could have a new block for the pillars and other structures. I'll just call it deadstone, and it could come in several variants. The main one I'm thinking about is deadstone brick, which would make up the pillars (which should taper into spikes to make them look nicer) and other structures.
Basically it could be just a world of contrast, with white rock covered in ruined black structures. Thin crumbling or destroyed bridges, ruined gothic buildings (cathedral like structures covering whole small islands), all made of deadstone brick. Could provide a nice eerie feel while sort of keeping to the original idea of a barren white island covered in black pillars.
Someone suggested we have multiple floating islands in The End, connected by broken down bridges.
I thought that was a pretty cool idea, and this definitely expands on that concept.
It sort of already is a world of contrast, since it has the obsidian pillars and the black endermen, so this could work out rather well.

Yea, that was my plan: to build on what little we already have.
Another thing to consider for the End is pulling together some of those ideas for a sort of limbo realm that is present all throughout the world. Some I can think of are an endless corn field, an endless beach, and a misty forest. If we could incorporate some of these ideas into the end without destroying its feel, it could be something really interesting. It is, however, imperative that we maintain the barren alien feel otherwise it just becomes a cluster****.
Man, so many pages on this, i'll be glad if it gets implemented.
Need an "artist" you say? I like to draw :3
Oh, I was going to respond to your other post cleverly, but I got wrapped up in editing the Main Post! XD
Sorry bout that, I'll send you a PM if we need anything in here, thanks! :smile.gif:
Actually, we still need some concept art for the jellyfish mobs. You could draw that if you want to. I will give me an excuse to add a "Mobs" section to the WD section. :tongue.gif:

Added some sweet sprite art made by onelastorphan to the water dimension items!
I also expanded on a few item descriptions, and added a color coded system for the item suggestions.
I am thinking about making this system be for the entire "Specific information" section, but maybe after we have more than one dimension description up.
Basic Idea: A blank void, with random floating structures of dark grey clouds, and lightning sparking from cloud to cloud in an endless chain reaction of chaos. There are small platforms and balls of metal-looking material. Basically, you are shrunken down to atomic size. I'm sure it would be interesting to hop from atom to blocky atom. This is a side dimension of the Overworld, and does not require you to go to it in order to access the End. It does, however, have it's benefits, which will be explained shortly.
You enter through a dynamic portal, facing towards the sky (horizontaly built). The only way to make the portal is by arranging gold blocks in a ring pattern like so:
= Gold Block = Soul Sand
Fill the center four blocks of air with Soul Sand. (You must go to the Nether before making the portal.) Then, you must charge it with a Redstone Pulse. After this is accomplished, the Soul Sand will disintegrate, leaving four black portal blocks, and making many particles of dust and wind, getting sucked into the portal rapidly. What you've created is a black hole. Upon walking into the portal, you and your items are shrunk, and it displays a screen saying "Entering the Border"
Your gravity no longer goes down, but to the nearest Proton Block. Electron blocks will push you away, until another Proton catches you. Neutrons are the basic building material in the Border, as they have no charge.
New Block: Proton. Attracts you. New Block: Electron. Repels you. New Block: Neutron. Does nothing, but can be used as a building material. New Block: Raw Mass. Dark gray, clearish puffs of blocks, similar to Aether clouds. New Block: Raw Energy. Can barely be seen, but emits light level 15. Causes nearby Raw Mass to form Neutrons. Cllected with buckets.
New Tool: Magnet. Turns neutrons into protons with left click, turns them into electrons with right click. Using a magnet on an electron/proton can turn it back into a Neutron. Recipe is up to you guys :happy.gif:
Any blocks from the Overworld will turn into Raw Mass when placed in the Border. Simply use Raw Energy to make it into usable Neutrons.
Blocks from the border cannot be "placed" traditionally. If a proton block is placed in a dimension other than the Border, it will convert nearby blocks into Raw Energy. If an electron is placed, it will make nearby blocks into raw mass. When Raw Energy buckets are spilled in-game, it will create a large shockwave effect, distorting blocks and making them weaker. The weakest block types (Dragon Crystal, Wool, Dirt etc.) will be completely destroyed. A bucket of Raw Energy and 8 arrows surounding it in a crafting bench can make 8 Energy Arrows which have the same effect as emptying a bucket of energy, but with range. (Can you say "Ender Crystal Destruction"?) These will be extremely effective against Ender Dragons. If a Neutron block is placed in the overworld, it will disintegrate.
If you drill through the center of an atom, it will awaken the boss.
The boss of the Border is the Resistor.
He is a large snake of raw energy that drills through atoms, causing explosions. In order to defeat him, you must lure him away from positive atoms, and into negative atoms. The resistance from the atom will weaken him. Weakening him 3 times send him into a brief shock, locking him in place. This is your oppurtunity to hack off one of his energy segments. After you hack off each segment (there are 6) the head will begin to rapidly chase you around, striking random things with lightning in his rage. Get him to fly into a negative atom, and he will lock up again. With one final smite, he will get stuck with lightning and his head will shrink up, and then explode out. A new portal forms under his dying place, and you are rewarded with an Electron Sword, a sword that strikes whatever it hits with lightning, excluding yourself. This is effective against the EnderDragon as well.
Anyways, this was probably the most fail idea I've had in a long time, but I would love to hear some improvements
PS: Name for Water Dimension: The Beginning (reference to Genesis; in the beginning the Earth was merely water)
...Your concept of physics makes my head hurt. That is not how matter and energy work. Not even in minecraft.
Please, for the love of your intellect, look up a video called 'The Elegant Universe' featuring Brian Greene.

Off topic: if I could craft anything in Minecraft wwith vanilla resources, I would craft a laser. Diamond medium, iron as a cheap silver substitute, powered by glowstone, for photonic energy. Science is fun, before I was 6, anything that broke the laws of physics scared me.

Anyone want to bet that most minecrafters act like 3 year old female zombies? Zombies being brainless. Anyway, why not, like jellomob said, have upgrading utilitys, eventually resting at early steam power?

The point of physics is to scare you. And to be broken.

Dilling through the atom to "fight the boss" will kill you. Boom. And, atoms have no center, so no diggy. And the fact that Steve would be a point particle. So yes, build this to die. and blow up a lot of crap.

Do not respond to the obviously Jelly individual. Haters gonna hate. Haters gonna be jelly.
In the mean time, let's get back on topic shall we?
Some examples of the kind of architecture I was thinking of are below (except obviously more degraded:
Thinking of mobs for the end is difficult because it often seems that they stray from the creepy feel and become just cut and pastes of the Enderman.
One last thing: Along with white eyes Enderman should emit black particles. It would look pretty damn creepy.
we stopped arguing with him a few posts ago
I think they would look really cool if they were somewhat falling apart.
also I suggested a mob for the end in another thread, I think they could live in these places and guard them.
