...? That doesn't sound so bad. Hell that's what I do with unwanted water blocks anyway.
Plus, with aquean water being as rare and difficult to procure as it is, I very much DOUBT you'll want to be getting rid of any into regular water, so the one disadvantage about stackable water that you mentioned doesn't even really apply to this. Keep in mind, regular water will still just be regular water - only flowing aquean water will treat other water as solid blocks. And then after 10 seconds, flowing aquean water turns into a regular water source block. The REGULAR water isn't treating the water below it as a solid block - it's as if you placed a water bucket up against a wall, and then placed another one against the same wall one block above it. The water isn't acting like a solid, it was just placed there, as if by the player.
You make convincing arguments..
On another note, the crust is taking shape!
Thinking about downloading MC Edit to help me with the building, not sure if it is compatible with 1.1 though.
i agree with OriginalPresets, because it is a boss dimension, the final boss at that!
instead of reforming the end and adding a water dimension try a dimension (a miner dimension or a survival dimension or even a fusion of two ideas) with a reason to go there besides exploration and boss fights (unless it is a boss dimension like the end) ex. the nether with Blaze Rods, Nether Brick and Nether Warts. Stuff like unique ores, items and gameplay mechanics make you want to come back.
Underwater dimension? Kool.....
I think there should be certain parts, top to bottom.
1. Ocean Surface-This is just the top of the ocean, with some isolated islands and trees.
2.Sub Ocean- Just under the surface, where animals like dolphins swim, very bright.
3. Reef- Underwater hills and caves with colorful reef, coral, fish, and sea turtles. Still bright.
4. The Darker regions- Sometimes the reef goes deep, and it isn't a reef anymore, but a darker area with caves. It's about as dark as the current underwater in Minecraft. Sharks and Jellyfish swim in here.
5. The Bottom- The bottom of the ocean, with no vision and the most dangerous enemies, like Anglerfish, Sharks, Octopus, and other wierd deep sea creatures lurk in here. An occasional glowcoral will be around, and even some caves, sunken ships, volcanoes and splits in the Earth's crust.

That has been the whole point of this thread since the beginning, you read the main post right?
I have a new section of the OP that you could put in: Ender
Each of the four main dimensions will have its own 'ender' mob. They all have 5 things in common. The first is that they are peaceful unless looked at. The second is that their fighting strategy is based off of teleportation abilities. Third, they are damaged by water (I'm thinking they would spawn on the surface and in shipwrecks in the waterdimension). Fourth, They are all black with glowing purple eyes. Fifth, they drop an enderpearl on death, with a 100% chance (it annoys me how the endermen only drop their pearls about 1 in 5 times you kill them, which may be due to them teleporting away after I hit them fatally).
-insert different ender mobs here-
Enderpearls have two main uses. They can be crafted into earth, fire, air, water, or ender eyes, which are needed to find and activate the five main boss portals. Their secondary use is to craft into earth, fire, air, or water eyes, which, when used, will teleport the player to the appropriate dimension, with five hearts of damage (to prevent people from using them when they are about to die as a life saver). The pearls will be used up upon teleportation.
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.

You can just host your own server
That's not as simple as it sounds, as can't port forward.
Also, I was going to make a section called "Eyes and Pearls" which is basically what you describe, but I didn't have enough time to add it in the last OP update. I will try and add it later on. I have been increasingly busy lately and it's cutting into my editing time quite a bit.
I think that there should be a dimension with limits on how far you could go to the sides made like an inside-out version of planetoids. You live on the inside of the planet, which is huge, and hollow, and an artificial sun floats at the planet's 'core'. The 'sun' only lights one side of the inside of the planet at once though, and it slowly spins around. This inside-out planet houses 'THE TOWER,' basicly a huge hollow lightning rod that reaches up into,(and seems to hold up), the sun. The tower is filled with tons of traps, and the tower is almost imposible to climb. The tower itself is also a trap. If you do manage to enter the sun, it has several unbreakable mob spawners surrounding the middle that generate 'portal mobs.' Each spawner produces a different kind of portal mob. There is a nether portal mob, an overworld portal mob, and a portal mob for each of the other main dimensions,(other than the end), and each one is able to summon mini versions of all mobs from their respective dimensions. Once 10 of each kind of mob is killed, their spawner will shut down and will produce a crystal. The nether spawner gives a nether crystal, overworld gives an overworld crystal, etc. In the exact center of the sun lies the Hyperportal Generation System, a device that allows you to generate portals to any dimension you want, as long as you have the crystal for said dimension. NOTE: ANYONE INSIDE THE SUN WILL NOT SHUT DOWN THE DAY/NIGHT CYCLE, AND THE SUN CANNOT BE DESTROYED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, NOT EVEN IN CREATIVE MODE. In order to get to the Boss of this world, one of every type of portal crystal is added at the same time, and a bucket of dark energy is poured in. Dark energy is crafted from obsidian, water, lava, glowstone, undersea volcanic smoke (found at the bottom of the water world), a diamond, and a bucket of liquid energy. The main mobs found in the inside out planet are basic crosses between lightning and auroras, in the form of a ghostly sphere. They drop energy stones, which when melted in a furnace produce raw energy, which can then be,(like diamonds into diamond blocks), turned it liquid energy. The boss of this world is named after the world's opposite. The world is called 'perfection sphere', and the boss is called 'the unnatural orb'. He can spawn the ghostly spheres, and can transform his dimension within a 40 block radius of himself into a copy of any of the other dimensions (end not included). He can also spawn random 'spikes' on himself that drain one of your hearts into him. His only weakness is that if one of his spikes is destroyed before it sinks back into him it gives your heart back plus wipes out all his curently summoned minions, and the damage done to him is equal to one half heart plus one heart for every ten of his minions that are destroyed. The fact that someone beats the boss or even gets to him does not effect anyone else's chances of getting to or beating him. The boss drops 10 buckets full of transport fluid, which, when poured on any block, will transport you to the dimension the block is most commonly found.
P.S. the dimension of water should be called the 'marinaqua' world.

At The beginning like when u first spawn u find the Zeth the zeth is a easy world u can find z stone and zeth eggs (after u beat zeth) the monsters are zeths minions and ghasts once u once u find a little z stone house and open the chest u get hit by zeth minion and then he throws a sleeping potion at u then u wake up with zeth in frount of u
and ur tied in chains when zeth turns around u shake and once u shake enough u break out of the chains if u dont break out in 10:00 mins u get sent to a cell if u get sent to a cell theres always a open but hidden escape place if u dont get to a cell or if u escape the cell u find zeth then u battle him he has about 50 health and if u beat him u get 3 diamonds after u beat zeth he explodes and u go down to 5 hearts but inside him was a zeth portal so u go though the zeth portal then u spawn in a z stone house with 1 zeth egg in it
(You might wanna get ATEAST 1 iron sword before u go in the portal)

I came up with a way to light the water dimension while exploring,
a magnesium (new ore) torch (basically a flare, which magnesium is actually used in).
Underwater, it would be as bright as a torch, and even brighter on land, eliminating the need for mass-producing Jack-o-lanterns.
Also, Jellomob, a favor please...
I have a ton of ore ideas and would like you to critique them, since you are obviously a freakin genius when it comes to new ideas.
If you can, just look at my diverse ore thread and comment please

Your keyboard has a period key you know, it's two keys to the right of the 'm' key. I recommend learning how to use it.

You don't need to portforward if you run your minecraft client and the server on the same computer, or on 2 different computers on the same network. Portforwarding is only necessary if people need to connect from other networks. You could also just use single player commands, it comes with worldedit. If it isn't compatible with 1.1, use MCnostalgia to go back to 1.0

I think we need an ores/metals/gems section, with and ores people come up with, and fit well.
Aquamarine: aquamarine, a water dimension gem ore used for scuba suits and aquatic tools.
Titanium: an extracted metal, using an extractor, a utility from the water dimension, you can turn iron ore into titanium ingots. Titanium can be used to make utilities, tools, armor, and bows, the bows are because titanium is hard, light, and flexible, perfect for bows.
Basic Idea: A blank void, with random floating structures of dark grey clouds, and lightning sparking from cloud to cloud in an endless chain reaction of chaos. There are small platforms and balls of metal-looking material. Basically, you are shrunken down to atomic size. I'm sure it would be interesting to hop from atom to blocky atom. This is a side dimension of the Overworld, and does not require you to go to it in order to access the End. It does, however, have it's benefits, which will be explained shortly.
You enter through a dynamic portal, facing towards the sky (horizontaly built). The only way to make the portal is by arranging gold blocks in a ring pattern like so:
= Gold Block = Soul Sand
Fill the center four blocks of air with Soul Sand. (You must go to the Nether before making the portal.) Then, you must charge it with a Redstone Pulse. After this is accomplished, the Soul Sand will disintegrate, leaving four black portal blocks, and making many particles of dust and wind, getting sucked into the portal rapidly. What you've created is a black hole. Upon walking into the portal, you and your items are shrunk, and it displays a screen saying "Entering the Border"
Your gravity no longer goes down, but to the nearest Proton Block. Electron blocks will push you away, until another Proton catches you. Neutrons are the basic building material in the Border, as they have no charge.
New Block: Proton. Attracts you. New Block: Electron. Repels you. New Block: Neutron. Does nothing, but can be used as a building material. New Block: Raw Mass. Dark gray, clearish puffs of blocks, similar to Aether clouds. New Block: Raw Energy. Can barely be seen, but emits light level 15. Causes nearby Raw Mass to form Neutrons. Cllected with buckets.
New Tool: Magnet. Turns neutrons into protons with left click, turns them into electrons with right click. Using a magnet on an electron/proton can turn it back into a Neutron. Recipe is up to you guys :happy.gif:
Any blocks from the Overworld will turn into Raw Mass when placed in the Border. Simply use Raw Energy to make it into usable Neutrons.
Blocks from the border cannot be "placed" traditionally. If a proton block is placed in a dimension other than the Border, it will convert nearby blocks into Raw Energy. If an electron is placed, it will make nearby blocks into raw mass. When Raw Energy buckets are spilled in-game, it will create a large shockwave effect, distorting blocks and making them weaker. The weakest block types (Dragon Crystal, Wool, Dirt etc.) will be completely destroyed. A bucket of Raw Energy and 8 arrows surounding it in a crafting bench can make 8 Energy Arrows which have the same effect as emptying a bucket of energy, but with range. (Can you say "Ender Crystal Destruction"?) These will be extremely effective against Ender Dragons. If a Neutron block is placed in the overworld, it will disintegrate.
If you drill through the center of an atom, it will awaken the boss.
The boss of the Border is the Resistor.
He is a large snake of raw energy that drills through atoms, causing explosions. In order to defeat him, you must lure him away from positive atoms, and into negative atoms. The resistance from the atom will weaken him. Weakening him 3 times send him into a brief shock, locking him in place. This is your oppurtunity to hack off one of his energy segments. After you hack off each segment (there are 6) the head will begin to rapidly chase you around, striking random things with lightning in his rage. Get him to fly into a negative atom, and he will lock up again. With one final smite, he will get stuck with lightning and his head will shrink up, and then explode out. A new portal forms under his dying place, and you are rewarded with an Electron Sword, a sword that strikes whatever it hits with lightning, excluding yourself. This is effective against the EnderDragon as well.
Anyways, this was probably the most fail idea I've had in a long time, but I would love to hear some improvements
PS: Name for Water Dimension: The Beginning (reference to Genesis; in the beginning the Earth was merely water)
Just throwing this out there. If you guys are going to make the End its own full dimension then it needs more than two blocks. What I was thinking is you could have a new block for the pillars and other structures. I'll just call it deadstone, and it could come in several variants. The main one I'm thinking about is deadstone brick, which would make up the pillars (which should taper into spikes to make them look nicer) and other structures.
Basically it could be just a world of contrast, with white rock covered in ruined black structures. Thin crumbling or destroyed bridges, ruined gothic buildings (cathedral like structures covering whole small islands), all made of deadstone brick. Could provide a nice eerie feel while sort of keeping to the original idea of a barren white island covered in black pillars.
Its funny because his panties are in a bunch because his suggestions suck.
Should probably get back on topic...
