Although minecraft is an amazing game as it is, I would love to see more industrial items added to the game. In fact I would really like to see many of the items from the Technic Mod pack be incorporated into the full game with the permission of the peeople who made those mods of course. I'm sure many people who have played arrond wwith the Technic Pack would agree.
Some things from there could work, at least if they got a visual makeover like pistons were given. Others, not so much. For example, the technic pack includes Industrialcraft, doesn't it? As amazing as Steve's engineering skills are, I don't really see him cobbling together a nuclear reactor in his workshop...leaving aside the fact that, properly speaking, he'd be dead from radiation long before getting it to a state of giving him reliable power.
Not to be rude, but I feel adding this would destroy part Minecrafts game play. How you may ask? Well first off, having cars would ruin the fun of adventuring, and plus they would be a pain in the butt since they couldn't climb a single block. Also, how would Steve make a nuclear reactor in the first place?
ok sure steve couldn't jury rig a nuclear reactor together and the radiation could kill him. And i wasn't suggesting adding cars i was talking about the buildcraft and redpower items being added to the game and if the developers did want to add industrial craft stuff then maybe they could incorporate the recently added npc's where steve must do something to help and they will give him a a recipe for a more complex machine maybe even a nuclear reactor.

Nuclear reactors aside, the industrial tubing, red-stone wiring, power generation, and new devices all add tons of potential depth and create a new role for players beyond adventurer/builder... the engineer.
I'd say add the things that seem like logical extensions (tubing, oil, copper, generators), and leave out the wacky stuff like the iridium plates, jet-packs, and lapitron crystals.

Thats exactly what i was talking about. when i first starting playing with the technic pack all i really had access to was the simple things and it kept me hooked for weeks.
Well, given that you can carry Minecraft lava in a bucket, it only cools if water is poured on it, and turns into obsidian instead of pumice, I don't think it's even the same substance as we think it is. :laugh.gif:
Steve can survive in boiling lava. He's not human
