We should have fridges. :smile.gif: I've always thought its so weird how we store food in chests and it never rots... :ohmy.gif:
It should work like this:
- Ice can be gathered without being broken if you use a pickaxe
- To craft a fridge, you use 8 cobblestone with a snowball or ice block in the middle
- The fridge would be like a chest, and you can put 2 freezers beside eachother to create a double fridge
The purpose of the fridge is to store meat and fruit without it spoiling. If you put meat, raw or cooked, into a chest, it will turn into rotten flesh. If you put apples into a chest, the apples will turn into rotten food. Cake, mushroom stew, and cookies also cannot be stored in chests without rotting, and must be placed as a block or placed into a freezer. When stew is rotted, you will not get the bowl back, because if you did, that'd be disgusting. If placed into a chest, it becomes rotten food.
If you place anything but food, smoothstone and buckets into a fridge, it will turn into an ice block, so fridges are only for storing meat and fruit + they can be a way to create ice easily. :biggrin.gif: If you put netherrack into a fridge, it will turn into cobblestone. If you put a bucket of lava into a fridge, it will turn into a bucket of water.
Only being able to put meat and fruit into fridges isn't such a massive problem. You can still store this food in your inventory, but it would be an incentive to make fridges and have more food storage, as well as encourage building with ice blocks. It would also nerf food a little, which this game needs in my opinion because its far too easy to get food.
The first does not mention ANY of my ideas except for the loose topic of the fridge, and the second does not mention that we should be able to mine ice blocks + it uses a completely different recipe idea. They are not the same as my idea, and I think your logic is invalid. :wink.gif:

Your ideas is based on One general Idea, So I posted some topics that has said idea.
Your argument is invalid.

No, because I was asking for you to post threads with every idea I have put in this thread.
Link me to a topic that has every single same idea I mentioned.
Food rotting in chests, 8 cobble and a snowball or an ice block, and ice being minable. I may have forgotten a thing or 2, but I don't care.
Your argument is invalid, not mine, and I don't want to keep arguing over this. I'm slowly entering a facepalm phase at your lack of intelligence. :tongue.gif:
Pointless fighting...
Anyways.....
You could use iron ingots instead of cobble stone =).
Well I think this is just getting to complex for minecraft. No Thankyou....

I was thinking of the use of iron ingots, but maybe that would be too "expensive" just for a fridge. :tongue.gif:
Then again, iron ore has been made very common lately, so perhaps it wouldn't be too much of a problem...
