Accidentally left clicking them even with an empty hand hurts them, they fall down off blocks all the time, I had one drown and one get struck by lightning. I have to keep them sitting to keep them safe - its a bit sucky. I can understand them dying in battle (a noble death) but falling down and suffocating when teleporting is just too sad. Wolves are supposed to be staunch! Not weak as kittens...
I have a post on this, and a lot of others do too. I think wolves should NOT take damage from suffocating in walls! 100% of the time, it's because of the game glitching, not your own fault at all. Also, they shouldn't take cactus damage (IRL wolves have thick enough fur to protect them), they should heal very slowly so that a wounded wolf can he healed in 2 Minecraft days, and they should eat food from passive mobs and food from the floor if they are low on health (and not get poisoned since they are designed to eat raw food).
See, Mojang doesn't actually care about wolves as a game enhancing experience as far as I can tell. To my knowledge, they were only added him because it was requested by Notch's "role-model". They were added, criticised, and barely anyone uses them anymore. Seriously, the forums were flooded with pages and pages of posts about wolves for maybe a month after they were released. Then they stopped. I'm not exaggerating. I'm also not saying you shouldn't use wolves, but they're not going to be modified officially any time soon.

Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way he's a mile away and barefoot.

That's pretty lame. Notch can disable cactus and wall suffocation damage (both very unrealistic reasons for a furry wolf to lose health) for them really easily! It's a matter of removing a mere 2 method calls in the code I believe.
Well, he plans on making it open-source eventually, so once that happens, we won't have to nag him anymore. The stupid part is that he is wasting time on MC for iOS, which sucks.

I'm sorry but you sure dislike apple devices, don't you?
