The have a mod o.o Called little blocks if thats what you mean o.o
That is really cool! A literal interpretation of the same idea. How were you able to make the mod? I didn't think that Notch released any of his source code even for those who have payed for the game yet...
By miniaturization, I was thinking of something more like how one might be able to create a Bread-board, or an electronic workbench, then when someone activates it, it would behave very much like activating a Craft bench. They would have something like 16x16 or 20x20 slots with which to fill with specific items. Have a two dimensional representation of all of the macro-sized components that are necessary when making redstone circuits, and assemble these into the corresponding circuits. When one is done, select a button that says something along the lines of "Create Black Box", then *boom* one normal block-sized black-box that can easily be moved and placed into a larger redstone circuit!
I've recently built a combination lock to see if I could do it. The amount of space and time that was necessary to get the thing running is staggering. And that was simple insofar as redstone circuits are concerned.
A Bread Board is basically a board that is used to prototype electronics.
Say you have a cool idea for a circuit. You've never done it before. You'd kinda like to work out most of the kinks and the bugs with the circuit before you commit to soldering the thing and making something more permanent... so you use a breadboard to test your idea. With a bread board; you can easily assemble the components and see what your idea does.

Ok I am done with balbla'ing, Now yes I think even just having a board were you could "Draw" out circuts to see how they would work wouild be pretty nice but being able to make large circuts that small? Seams a tad to overpowerd plus then it takes away the satisfactio of having a massive clock just to keep minecraft time.

(1) Allowing the possibility to miniaturize the circuits.
A suggested Crafting Combination for a Miniaturize-able Bread Board:
[Au|D |Au]
[D |Fe|D ]
[Au|D |Au]
Where Au -> Gold
D -> Diamond
Fe -> Iron
What do you think?

(It's from electronics)
so it has nothing to do with mini toasts?
Well... the first toaster may have been debugged on a bread-board. Does that count?
yes, yes it does.
