hi,
my idea is this: Paint
you would craft it by combining your desired color of dye with a bucket of water.
resulting paint bucket would have a durability bar like a tool to show remaining applications left.
the paint would tint some blocks to match the color of the paint.
paintable blocks would be:
stone
cobble
wood
wooden planks
doors
trap doors
iron doors
stairs
sandstone
fences
fence gate
pressure plates
the game currently does something similar in between biomes by changing the tint of certain blocks.
any suggestions folks about other blocks that should be paintable?
This has been done in a mod. Already, multiple times. But it is a good idea nonetheless!
which mod?
but as it stands it really should be in the game by default. it would also stop the need for a bunch of different blocks people are always requesting. adding a color tint to an existing block seems easier the coding and texturing new blocks.

I SUPPORT "NO PICS, NO CLICKS" REMINDERS.
