Ok. Let's get things rolling. First off, I ask you this, have you used an axe for a weapon, ever? If so, then would you want to make it a weapon? Well with the enchantment I am proposing, you can make it a weapon! With, the WEAPONIZER!
The weaponizer in it's different stages will, obviously have different effects. For example, Weaponizer (I) will take away the double usage of misusage of hitting mobs with any tool. You will have a chance at this like all the other enchantments. At Weaponizer (II) it does 1 heart more of damage, and has no double usages. Then it can do more knockback going on. Then at IV, it will (magically) set things on fire.
I know what you are thinking. No! What will happen to our beloved sword? Well, to counter-act this new enchantment, you can (accidentally) enchant your sword with an effect called Enhauntment. Enhauntment is an odd enchantment. Enhauntment starts at I as a basic +1 heart damaging weapon. But as you use it more, it levels up to II, increasing speed. At III, it can knock things back a bit farther. And at IV it can make things...well...explode. Into ashes.. :smile.gif:
I don't know what else to put, so please, leave comments to help be balance these enchantments. Thank you.
Bump. I see people reading this, but no replies. D:
Weaponizer V.2
After looking at all the suggestions, I will somehow intergrate them.
Weaponizer I- +1 heart damage
Weaponizer II- +1 heart critical damage
Weaponizer III- Set your target aflame
Weaponizer IV- No penalty (Does not use up 2 uses. Just one.)
I almost forgot. At Weaponizer IV for swords and etc. Sometimes a sword will not consume durability.
It'd be pretty cool to have new weapons, but I think this would make things a bit more complicated. It'd be easier to just add a crafting recipe to build a "battle axe". But still pretty cool. We definitely need more enchantment options.
A bit on the overpowered side, also: seems a bit tedious when it should be a universal effect.
Here's an effective means to do so:
Empowerment (4 ranks)
Rank 1) +1 critical hit damage
Rank 2) +1 normal damage
Rank 3) 3 seconds burning damage
Rank 4) 1/2 use penalty (swords will have a 50% chance to not consume durability, all other tools will use 1 durability)
This will allow Notch to easier implement the system as there's only one enchantment to work with, it will bring a clear boon to "less effective" tools as they are made useful in combat though not favored, and allows a player a clear option when confronted with mobs without a sword.
Unless you care to provide a link, don't bother posting.
Screaming "Already Suggested" at a common idea is tantamount to spam. Yes, you heard me right. Do not state "already suggested" unless you have another one to reference. The reason is simple; the game is 2+ years old, it has a fanbase where every (practically) member has posted a suggestion on the board. This game has over a MILLION players; and millions others which would LIKE to play the game. They all contribute to the trash heap.
What are the chances of ANY suggestion ANYONE has come up with would be original by now? "Already suggested" becomes a categoric insult at this point, and more statement of the obvious akin to typing "This is a collection of words on a bulletin board system". Thanks, jack-ass; we got that.
If you are to post "already suggested" at least do the footwork and find a link to a previous topic so a mod can use the reference and close the redundant topic; instead of leaving it open for the poor OP to be flamed to death. Seriously, don't sink down to the OP's level.

Well. At least I still have my dignity with this thread. Anyway, I'm gonna take your suggestions FOR my suggestion and shamelessly steal integrate them into my thread.
