Old terrain should come back completely! I actually felt motivated to play vanilla back then. But now it looks like dull and boring. In 1.7.3 it felt like there was always new and visually stunning places to explore. Like there was huge mountains in 1.7.3 and i wondered what was beyond them and when got to the top of those mountains i was amazed by the glory of Minecraft. Now the terrain is far too easy to predict and i no longer feel very imaginative no more, the only thing that cheers me on to play minecraft is maybe just the music.

WE NEED OLD TERRAIN BACK! NOT JUST THE BEACHES!

I agree 100%! And if I may add my two cents, I'll do so;

If Mojang ever re-adds beaches, I propose a whole plethora of beaches! For example, the grassy shores now, to short beaches, long, ongoing beaches, rocky beaches, gravel beaches, high cliffs above the water, duney beaches... Everything!
But if not, I insist on the return of old pre1.7/18 beaches, they were the best.

Do the swamps really have to look so evil? They look like a place that you do not want to go near..

I can't believe I forgot about beaches! I thought gravel beaches were cool, but the ones I found were rather steep and narrow. Some tweaks to them would be nice... but first they'd need to be brought back!

Ikr! I always spawn in a stupid taiga or swamp. Not that I have anything against them but the old beaches next to forests is what I like.

I like the look of beaches before the patch. However, I think that clay should be abundant. You should not have to excavate half the world to find the clay needed to make a brick house. (ok, I'm exaggerating, but clay should be readily available.)

It might be a good idea to hide clay beneath at least one layer of sand or gravel to make things look nice. In fact, I would change it so that clay spawns in sandstone's place whenever there is water above a pile of sand. This would make sandstone spawn in deserts and clay spawn under bodies of water. But, you would still see sand and gravel at the bottom of rivers and lakes and such.

i like this it need to go back it will look a lot nicer if it went back

I COMPLETLY agree, it made it look so nice, now the beaches are gone, and as long as your in the desert, there isn't as much sand.

Beaches in 1.7 were too common
Beaches after 1.7 are too rare/ non existant

We need a happy medium!

Are these the sand and gravel beaches like they had in 1.7 and below?
