I think there should be more biomes, and some additions to biomes.
Pine Forest (additions): Pine Forest biomes should have more in it besides pine trees and lots of wolves, dont you agree? How about pinecones on pine trees?
Forest (additions): I think that oak trees in forest biomes should have acorns on them and be taller than they are now. Birch trees should be a little taller also.
Apple Tree Forest (new biome): There should be a new common biome with trees that have apples on them. If they are near a desert biome, apples will fall off the trees. If they are not, you will be able to pick them from the tree. There will rarely be a golden apple in these biomes.
Plains (additions): Plains should have a new mob in them. Buffalos can be good, they can drop leather to make armor, there horns can be used as a knife, and they can also be riden on (like riding a bull). Buffalos can also make hills in the biome shorter when they walk on them.
Swamp (additions): Swamps should have lighter grass, and have new mobs in them. Frogs (because of lillypads), crockodiles, and ogres (fictional) sound good because they fit right in with swamps. Logs should be on the ground and have moss on them.
Ocean (additions): Oceans should have many things in there besides squids and water. How about more water creatures? Sharks, dolphins, sting rays, and goldfish would be good.
Desert (additions): Deserts should have weather, just for them. when the wind blows, sand will disolve into air and become a sandstorm. If steve breathes it in, he will loose health. They should also have new mobs. Miniature Sandworms can roam around the deserts.
Extreme Weather Biome (new biome): There should be a biome with ALL types of weather. Biomes with rain, sandstorms, and snow will mix together and have all crazy types of weather, almost all the time!
interesting ideas, you should put this in the "mod suggestion and ideas" thread, because i doubt Mojang will make changes like this, but a modder might

When MCP 1.0.0 comes out I will try to make the biome additions... and of course weather and mobs.
What would be the point of having pine-cones?
What would be the point of having acorns?
Swamps had the grass darkened, so I don't expect it to be lightened again. Besides, people we're complaining that the swamps didn't look like swamps until the grass and water were darkened.

The statement below is true.
The statement above is false.
No offence, but the acorns are pretty useless. We already have saplings. Other than that, I think those ides are great! Especially buffaloes. But the swamp was meant to be darker. It's a swamp!

I forgot to mention, pinecones and acorns can be used as decorations. Sorta like flowers...
Pine forest biomes are taiga biomes. They should add snow back into them.
I don't like the apple tree forest biomes. It would make more sense to put apple trees in forest biomes.
I think instead of having extreme weather biomes. All biomes will ocasionaly have extreme weather. taiga and tundra biomes can have noreasters, plains can have tornados, desserts can have sandstorms, etc.
They can add rain and temperate forests.
Rain forests will get huracanes. Temperate forests will have seasons.
Temperate biomes will only have noreasters and they will get them in the winter only. There's no sand in temperate biomes to have sandstorms, there's not enough space to start a tornado, and (although it is possible in real life) it doesn't feel natural to have hurricanes in temperate biomes, etc.
In the winter, it can snow, the trees won't have leaves, and apple trees won't have apples. In the spring, flowers will grow, blossoms will grow on trees, and snow will slowly melt. In the summer, the blossoms on trees will be replaced with leaves (except apple trees, they'll still have blossoms. In Fall, there will be a leaf falling animation under leaf blocks and there will be a pile of leafs under them, leaves on trees will turn red, yellow, or orange, apples will replace the blossoms on apple trees, and (rarely) it will snow.
