I actually LIKE the new Swamp Biome color, but they seem severely displaced. I mean, they intersect with the others biomes, and since the Swamp Biome's grass color is a LOT darker than the other grass colors, they seem ugly. I'd like to Mojang make a more realistic version of the Swamp biome. Like, the closer the blocks are to the Swamp Biome, the greenier/darker the grass/water is. At the Swamp biome, it is completely green/dark.

You realize that if notch put it in with the other biomes, they would be like that, but instead, he said "f*ck it, I'll just make them purple" That's what we want. We want Notch to make this one biome, like EVERY OTHER BIOME IN THE GAME
Ya'll think you got problems. I built my city half in and half out of a swamp in 1.8.1 I had no idea that I was about to get black grass on my castle grounds, and my water flows from green to blue and back to green in some places. :sad.gif: Just let me replant my grass green, and turn my water back to one color.

I already signed this, but yeah, this is exactly what I'm running into with my current project. :/
When 1.8 came out, I decided to venture out into newly generated terrain. The area in which I came out of my nether portal was beautiful. A large, mountainous island in the middle of the ocean with a small continent visible on the horizon. Everything was happy and bright due to me editing the grasscolor.png file to make all the grass a vibrant green. But when the 1.9 pre-release came out, half of my island was put into a swamp biome. The ugly "transition" was an eye sore. It cut right across my beautiful island and made it look like the host of a spreading infestation. Blue water turned muddy and bright green grass turned an ugly brown. Editing grasscolor.png did nothing to fix it. I had to actually change the seed of my world to one which didn't put me smack in the middle of a swamp biome. Even then, parts of my world are still very ugly due to the swampy waters and grass. I will be so glad if this petition gets a point across to Mojang to fix their swamp biome. It's really one of the few things I dislike in Minecraft.

A wise man once said, "A troll feeds on the souls of good people. Feed the troll and you will suffer unforseen consequences."
You are the one who obviously needs to repeat the 5th grade. That was a grammatically correct sentence, one which was also perfectly understandable for anyone with half a brain. Congratulations on demonstrating your stupidity by blatantly misspelling the word English and for failing to have the necessary language comprehension to deal with nominal clauses.
Congratulations for being an uncultured noob who does not know what a meme is.
For future reference, the squiggly lines under your typing tell you when you spelled something wrong. :wink.gif:

The Internet is a big place, friend. I've been places you've n͍̺e̩v̦e̦̰͍͓̩ͅr̜̭̝̬̬͉̤̬ ͙ịm̖͇a͍͇̤͙̥g̤̘i͔͖̤̼̪̬n͖͔̳̬̯e̩̘ḓ͈͔̠̙͇̼̯.͎
The color is not that bad but it should be in the biome code, not an overlay. An overlay is a cheap method that should be frowned upon. Tree colors would be consistent if the swamp color was a biome-wide like the colors in all other biomes. To make things worse, the top of the swamp grass is a different color than its sides. Another proposal is to use biome colors for water. Biome water colors have been in the game for months but have yet to be implemented. This is deplorable. Here is a picture demonstrating it.

I'd love to build on swamps and I've found tons of seeds with huge swamp biomes, but the transitions... ):

Also if I helped you in any way please feel free to push that nice little green button! It helps a lot!

That's actually because you have the graphics set to fast. On fancy graphics the grass sides are the same color as the top.
