My goal is to make minecraft seem a little more natural, aside from the fact that there are snakish creatures that explode on sight of a human being. Thats a little too epic to be kicked. Now, i've played minecraft since before minecraft Alpha, which is a pretty long time. And even then it was okay, but it seemed too peaceful. so have a secure home, because natural disasters have been suggested. I personally think it would be pretty cool seeing a tornado, or a volcanic eruption (i guess i should suggest volcanoes too), or a tsunami, maybe even an earthquake or land slide. it would be only accessable in options (Disasters ON:OFF). valcanic eruptions and tsunami water and lava with clear itself. these would be randomly generated. in fact, to be a little more specific, there will be a section in options called "DISASTERS" and you can select the intensity of any strike. maybe you have a nice house on an island with a valcano and you just did it for scenery, it would really suck if that was melted or burned by lava. put it to "small" on "eruption" and it wouldnt go near your home. atleast, if you built further away. if not, i suggest a steady support system on your home because "small lava" will be one block high. questions? comments?
Try the search bar unless you have unique details. Your ideas are great though, adds something to survive against, and it should be biome based, and it will affect only one biome (unlike rain/snow).

When the evil Walri and his eggmen henchmen attack your yellow submarine, ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE to survive.
yes, we need something like this (assuming the scripting isn't too hard.

No, there has never, ever been a sandbox game with a story or ending... except Grand Theft Auto... and Saints Row... and Red Dead Redemption... and Crack Down... and Assassins Creed...
