I've just realized this after playing Skyrim, then Minecraft. There is a HUGE difference. Anyone know what that difference is? The difference is that in Skyrim, the world feels ALIVE. But in Minecraft, it feels pretty much DEAD. Think about it, in Skyrim, you can encounter elk grazing in the forest, rabbits hopping around, and mammoths migrating across huge plains. But in Minecraft, there are only a few animals, and most of these are DOMESTIC animals. Which means they don't add to that "alive" feel. What Minecraft needs are WILD animals. Animals like deer, buffalo, or even mammoths. And perhaps more daytime mobs like trolls or anything that's not undead. Wouldn't these things make Minecraft feel more alive, and encourage you to take a stroll in the woods more?
also, SKYRIM is an RPG game, which is meant to have a massive story line, and state-of-the-art graphics and rendering software.
minecraft is for creative people, and redstoners.
If you live in an area inhabited by deer and elk like I do (I live a while outside a city in the boreal forrest) you'll notice that elk and deer and stuff stay away from all other animals. Real life isn't really "alive"
I do really like the ides of new mobs be them hostale or not. I also must a gree that not everyone downloads mo creatures I myself rather play minecraft completly mod free.
Not everyone downloads mo' creatures. Myself included. I just don't like the mobs' textures and models. They don't fit with Minecraft.
There is lots of different mods you can use and you can always make one your self or make new texture to ones you don't like.

This post. I really think that there needs to be diversity, and there is enough undead currently, he should focus on fantasy.
