I'm not sure if this was asked a millions of times, but i think there should a option where you can load worlds in older versions. It would look something like this.
Which Version Would You Like To Pick?
1.7.3
1.7.2
1.7.1
And so on...
The reason i want this is because i miss the old days where there wasn't Pickaxes and all that.
Anyone agree?
PS. This thread might get locked if this was asked too much

You mean the Creative version that is currently available for free on Minecraft.net?
Anyways, yes, this has been asked before, and the fact is that it simply won't happen. Minecraft is different in that it allowed the players to see the game as it was being developed, which created all the hype and everything; however, Mojang doesn't want you to see the old versions of the game where there wasn't a lot of content or there were tons of bugs except for that Creative mode (which serves as a kind of demo to Minecraft for new players).
Does Bungie allow you to play the earliest build of Halo? Does Ubisoft allow you to play Assassin's Creed when it was just being built? No. The fact is that Mojang wants you to play the most updated version, the version with (hopefully) the fewest bugs and most content. That way they don't have baby players complaining to them about already-fixed problems and asking for wolves to be implemented when they're already there.
I need a reason why this needs to be added, it seems pointless to me.
I guess my reason is that Notch sort of went too far, The old versions was a awesome sand block game, but now it's some type of RPG game like Terraria. At first i knew Terraria and Minecraft were diffrent, but now? Well, it's the same game pretty much.

I guess your right, i didn't really mean Creative version, The game makers can play the lastest verison of their game, but me? well, i think there's time we have to look back what we played.
Building a dirt house back in version 1.4 or 1.5 was fun. But that would be boring now. Notch hasn't removed anything, he's only added things to the game. (Although bugs have been removed). I'll ask the question that many people including myself can't figure out:

Ahem...
Why the heck should minecraft develop backwards?
Cause some people don't like how there's alot of stuff, they like the old minecraft, where they threw blocks and pickaxes to build and explore, but now they give you magic books and ender pearls that really doesn't fit into Minecraft.
