Copper Ingots - When made into tools, works like Stone. Can be grinded (I'm working out that) into Copper Dust, and then smelted into Copper Wires.
Tin Ore - Very common, when made into tools, works like iron, but has durability of wood
Ruby - A bit more durable than Iron, works like iron as well.
Sapphire - Middlepoint of Iron and Diamonds. Breaks Obsidian.
Emerald - A bit less durable than Diamond, especially powerful once enchanted.

Since there are already red stones, i think the copper wire should be like a miniature redstone. Kinda like that one mod that shrinks everything so you can literally put a red stone circuit on one block. But it they are going to add any new ores, they should just add what's on the Aether mod since it was pretty balanced and made the gameplay a lot more interesting.
On a large scale, it is used like Redstone.
It gets power and carries it until the beginning is saved into memory and temporarily removed, but must have an end.
Redstone has a limited signal distance, but doesn't need an end.
