You know the new FOV and Sensitivity sliders, right?
This is a similar slider.
I've currently figured out 3 settings:
Unreal (minecraft without the hunger meter, no mobs absent, but no rocket ships)
Dreamland (default, hunger & thirst meters, no different types of water, only no creepers and endermen. Undead unaffected, but skeletons hold swords.)
New Life, New Day (hunger, thirst, temperature, no undead, insect mobs, no nether or end, spaceships, oil, different types of water [fresh, salt, and swamp], flint tools, no punching trees, hypothermia and heatstroke, super-awesome NPC villager AI, flintlocks)
The Unreal setting is like 1.7.3, but with 1.8's mobs and sliders & blocks and st00f.
No real changes, just no hunger. Food functions like it did before the Adventure Update.
While I'm suggesting stuff, the water distinctions (may have seen this somewhere else)
Fresh: Drinkable no matter what.
Salt: Must be "smelted" to drink (will give 1 salt pile as a result, leaving a Fresh Water bucket in its place). Can be drunken untouched, but decreases Hunger by 0.5
Swampy: Acts like Fresh water, but poisons your Health meter (50% chance) upon ingestion.

And WDF different types of water?
Unreal has them at normal spawn rate, New Life, New Day makes them 12.5% less common.
"Oh wait, Your saving it for the spur?" "You dont love me then" -Curly
- Different types of water [fresh, salt, and swamp]? For any reason?
- Flint tools? So I can't mine for diamonds to make a good pick?
- No punching trees? Is this even Minecraft?
- Hypothermia and heatstroke? How would that add fun to the game?
- No Nether? ARE YOU CRAZY?
This is not fun at all. It has all the "realistic" crap I can get by walking outside the door.

A hunger toggle is better, because since the ultra realism is garbage, and the difference between the other is just hunger, no need for a slider.
You could play Minecraft like it was in 1.7.3, just with the new mobs, or like its IRL.
