When people get thrown of a cliff, they don't just fall in a standing position do they? So why is it so in Minecraft. It wouldn't be anything to extravegent, just like a ragdoll effect where the falling player spun and turned through the air. Or when a creeper blows up and sends you flying, you would twist and turn through the air. The big part of this is the landing. You would actually land on your back or on your side and have to get back up. I've seen games for my ipod that can pull off a convincing ragdoll effect, so why not minecraft?

I'd support this... Maybe different reactions for higher free-falls (waving arms, etc). Surviving a large fall might disorientate you for a few moments before you can get up and moving properly.

If itworks for a game on my ipod, I think Notch can do it, but im not sure.
I hope he can.
