If facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. And when that happens, the 10% of us who didn't go insane will be laughing at them.
I kinda know what you mean, I mean minecraft is great and all but it looses its pzazz. At first I just started playing single player, then multiplayer then I got mods to play with now I am playing on a server I made. Each time I started a new one I felt like I just played minecraft for the first time again but they got boring faster as I started a new one. I can't think of any more minecraft parts to start again with, but minecraft definitely made me figure out I like to play around with programs(I also tried to make some plug-ins) and it got me to think outside the box while trying to build new buildings. It was a very fun game while it lasted.
In my opinion, the pre-releases seem too much like a mod to keep my interest. I get bored with mods quickly, and I keep doing the same things over and over.
If you haven't tried the Super Hostile series, go ahead and give those a try. There's a great variety to the environments and it'll make you weep for what vanilla Minecraft doesn't yet have.
Other than that, I'd say give it a break for a while. You'll come back to it eventually, more than likely. And maybe that dissatisfaction inside you is a way of telling you that you ought to be getting something done outside the game, in the real world.
It's National Novel Writers' Month. Thousands of people across the world are trying to write 50,000 words in 30 days. It's a good time for creativity in other areas as well. On the northern half of the globe, the weather's about to drive us all indoors mostly, cut down on our options for outdoor pastimes; besides writing and painting, why not explore some new genre of music? On the southern half, it might be time to get some sun, meet some new friends, or get started on an exercise routine.
Or maybe it's just time to pick up a new game for a while. If modern games are too pricey or uninteresting, go hunt down free games online (Kingdom of Loathing? Puzzle Pirates? casual games on Kongregate?), or try something retro. I just beat Portal for the first time, and I'm going back through Harvest Moon and Final Fantasy Tactics. My nephew's been enjoying the stuff I grew up on, like Super Mario Bros., Super Metroid, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Soul Blazer.
Go on, have fun. We'll be waiting for you here when you get back :smile.gif:
Honestly, I think it's really sad that not only I has lost interest in Minecraft, every time I built a new world, I either deleted it the next time I got on, or got bored with it after a while.
Playing other games does help, I'm playing MW3 on rent, Fallout: New Vegas, and I'm saving up for Battlefield 3. (I'm going to get Skyrim for Christmas T_T)
Start a hardcore world, maybe. Or just take a break from Minecraft until there is an update. Or when you come back after a while it will become fun again.

I have my own server but I never know what to do on it with my friends.

My nephews and I have started posting Minecraft videos on my YouTube channel! Fairly random, but enjoyable.
General schedule is 4 PM Mon-Fri and 10 AM Saturdays. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!

I was too a mindless drone who flocked to plugin servers until I realized how much of a pathetic joke they are.
