I had an idea for another alchemy ingredient. This ingredient would be the gold nugget. You would add this to a potion after all other added effects to make it look like the opposite effect, but perform the same effect when drunk.
This is a bit hard to understand, so let me give you an example.
Say I create an instant healing potion using a glistering melon. I then "defile" it using a fermented spider eye to make it a instant damage potion. I then brew it with a gold nugget to make its tooltip appear to be instant health again.
I then pass it to someone else in SMP. Later, I fight him. When his health gets low, he reaches for the health potion I passed him earlier. Once drunk, however, he dies instead of being saved!
Would be cool..... In SMP. How would this be useful in vanilla, survival SMP?

"Science isn't a matter of WHY, it's a matter of WHY NOT? WHY is so much of our science dangerous? Why don't you marry safe science if you love it so much? In fact, why don't you invent a special safety door that won't slam you in the butt on your way out? BECAUSE YOU ARE FIRED!" -Cave Johnson
it really would only be used in SMP. But there should be some way of figuring out what the potion really is. Maybe brewing it with a regular spiders eye to be a "seeing" item. Or maybe the cap of the bottle should be a slightly different shade. Also, besides tricking enemies to kill themselves, you could disguise all your swiftness potions as slow potions, so if you die, no one would use them, unless they figure it out.

You can't make metre cubed pieces of rock get jiggy with each other, that's just WRONG.
