I was thinking, It would be nice if there was a way that you could easily switch between modded, and unmodded minecraft.jars. Basically, I think it would be like a option menu on the launcher, where you could pick between different jars. You would put all of your different jars into a folder, then you could easily pick which one you wanted.
For example, say I had two minecraft.jars. One was unmodded, and i used that one for when I just wanted to play normal minecraft. The other jar had Single Player commands, Toomanyitems, and SDK's mod, and I used that one when I just wanted to mess around a bit. Every time I wanted to switch them, I would have to go into my .bin folder, and rename each one, so minecraft would use the one I wanted. With this idea, I would put them both into a folder, then when I opened the minecraft launcher, I could pick any of the jars I had in that folder, and minecraft would use the one I picked. That would make it so much easier on me to switch between different sets of mods.
I don't know how hard this would be to implement, but I just want to put the idea out there.
I know, but I just think that this would make it easier to do.
modding, in any game, is a function outside of the bounds of the company that made the game. you do so at your own risk so .jar switching should be done by the modder or user of the mod, not the game modifying itself around the mod.
Just make a folder, call it for example minecraft.jar's and extract the .jar's you have with the selected mod and copy it into that folder. Simple as that.

I understand that you can do that, I just think it is slightly easier to just have an in-game feature which does this for you. Somewhat like the way you switch texture packs in-game.
