I miss the feature in alpha where if a creeper blows up next to you, you go flying like 10 blocks. Now that it's gone, it takes the thrill out of being chased by mobs. I remember my first encounter with a creeper in the late alpha:
I was walking along a cliff that dropped into water. Trying to be extra careful, i slowly placed blocks over the ditch ahead of me. I heard a rough footstep on the grass like something was jumped behind me. I turned around to realize i was about to get PWNed by a creeper. Before i could turn around to run, the creeper blows up, sending me flying over the cliff and hitting the water with a loud splash. It happened so fast that i didn't realize where i was until i saw a blue screen with bubbles rising to the surface.
I would like to see little thrills like that be put back into Minecraft. thrills that force the player to think about what they are doing. It adds to the adventure Minecraft was known for but is now losing.
Anyone wanna see little things like this come back?

I got minecraft in the early 1.7 time (good times) so i did not experience this at all! Like how you could magically move a minecart without any power and so on! My friend said the Alphas were more fun then 1.7 without a doubt and maybe Notch could bring this back.
Going flying from creeper boom-booms not only sounds hilarious and fun, but realistic too. Wish I could have experienced that. Also would be neat if when you die from a zombie attack the game spawned a new zombie from your corpse.
Another, albeit creepy, idea would be if you get poisoned by a Cave Spider and then die before the poison wears off, another Cave Spider bursts out your gut ala Alien when you die, giving your friends/efforts to rescue your swag that extra twinge of difficulty.
Don't see why not, sounds great. Happened to me during beta once, I was walking up a beach, heard an explosion, survived, only to be killed by the fall. Good times.

Hey, I like dogs and wolves too!

We could have both: the normal creeper, more common, with the explosion we know now, and the ALPHA creeper, a little bigger, a little faster and with a better vision, having the 10-square explosion.
And the scariest stuff. It would be more intelligent. So no more "Yeah, you can't just jump here to my one-square heighted shelter! "
I loved the seeing through glass part. IN my first house, I was hiding at the back of my house for a whole night, and this creeper just kept staring at me through the window...

well, we already have two types of creeper, wouldnt make sense to add another. Just add this effect to the charged creepers and you'll be good.
Are you kidding? wolves are great! And so much fun too! When ever I start to fight a monster they begin a game of "fetch the arrow" as soon as I shoot they jump right in front of the monster and catch the arrow in their anus.
Ah yes, the old powerful creepers. I think I like how it is on 1.9 though. It's harder now than it was in alpha since they can see farther and have a bigger explosion.
Everything seemed more overpowered in alpha, to me... But maybe that's just 'cuz I was a newbie. I'd like it if the knockback from explosions was implemented again, and maybe make spiders faster and harder to hit as they were. I also liked the being able to shoot arrows through the top part of doors. It'd be cool if that were reimplemented for wooden doors.
