Anyone else think that its ridiculously disgusting how hard it is to Gather dye and Wool in Minecraft ?
If your like me and are Diversely impaired with things like wool colored and cant stand anything except Things like Blue and Red or the occasional Purple Block, you hate having to walk hundreds of blocks to find Roses, And with animals no longer respawning in light, you now have to make animal pens to breed Animals.
But once you get the pen, you gotta have a decent supply of wheat to Breed them. Enough to feed yourself and the animals.
THEN you gotta wait a couple days for the god damned beasts to Grow from annoyingly high pitched wastes of space with comically large craniums to full grown animals that yield any useful materials.
So some shears and a couple sheep over the course of an undetermined amount of time you can get the wool you need, but of course waiting a couple In game weeks for 5 sheep and about 10 wool gets so repetitive and dull after a while.
Not only is this inefficient and slow, but finding the Flowers and dyes to make the colors is Back breaking, traveling over entire biomes to find a small patch of roses or daisies that only yield maybe 20 dye each Is not a great way of making Carpets for my fortress.
The only dye i find that is easy to collect is Green... and green is an Ugly color IMO.
Using Bonemeal on Grass Also makes lots of Grass appear, and roses have a very low chance of appearing anyway, Now im stuck with Tons of Ugly looking grass, no more bones for wolves or my wheat to feed the animals and myself and i only got maybe 3 roses from all that, Its not worth it.
Any suggestions on ways to make gathering these materials that are necessities for aesthetically appealing decorations Easier?
Wood and stone aren't really fun to look at for the 1000's of times you look at it when crafting or building a Starting shelter.
Flowers are going to be able to spread like mushrooms I believe at some point so you can grow them. And black is easy because their spawning code hasnt changed they just spawn in flailing groups still like they always have.
Also once you get your wheat growing expand your field, if you dont want a huge one top side, dig out an underground farm in rows with torches on blocks above the wheat. One torch every 2-3 blocks is good, then just make a massive field with a piston water system wait for it all to grow full (or most of it, then use the pistons to harvest. After a few harvests you'll have more than enough wheat to hold you over and a steady supply.
In the latest version, there are just as many roses as there is dandelions. If you have an issue with collecting anything in minecraft, play creative mode. I thought the point of survival mode was take time and challenge to every aspect even if it was something as simple as coloring blocks(if you can call that a challenge).

Yes that Makes the small problem on wheat easy to deal with, but what about the problem with Dyes?
Black is difficult because ocean biomes are God damn huge, meaning that squid spawn in the deeper water, and one squid yields 1-2 Ink sacks witch is one or two black wool. Going underwater to kill them is annoying, being near blocks halves you swim speed, its difficult to see the deeper you go and you can possibly drown if not careful, once you start drowning, your finished, you can rise because the Damage makes you sink.

I like having large structure with open floors for lots of decorations, furniture and room architectural Designs such as Pillars and supports so the building makes sense, wood is alright but its boring to look at for the #### Time, i like carpets and the colors so getting about 10 or so wool from 6 or 7 sheep, dying them, placing them down, Breeding more sheep, replace the wheat and wait for it to grow, go out and search for more roses and dyes, come back with little or nothing, repeat. It gets boring and takes a Long time.
