So when your playing an actual RPG, there are Checkpoints everywhere that change the surroundings of where you are. Well when your making a Minecraft Adventure Map, you can't really make surroundings change automatically (When a random person is playing)when you, say, read a note, or hit a certain button. So I was thinking, while watching an adventure map play-through, of an idea to change the surroundings and make the adventure a lot more, well, realistic.
Here is how I see it. You enter a room that is decorated, but empty, with lights and stuff in it. You walk through and see a door with a note on a wall. After you read the note, it guides you to press a button, or you can just make it where they accidently step on a pressure plate. That triggers pistons to rise up, and knock off all the lights in the other room. (Monster spawners can be prevented by putting torches near them, so when the pistons rise, and the lights go out, monsters will spawn.)
It is very simple, haven't seen it around, and thought I could just bring it up here so someone creative can use it! :smile.gif:
:\ Sorry if this was a waste of your time and thank you for reading!
