So, I'm sure almost everyone is aware of that mini-mob inside a spawner that spins forever. Well I'm suggesting that there be a small tweak to that. I suggest that, when a spanwer is deactivated, probably by some use of light, then the mini-mob inside will stop spinning, even if the player is next to the spawner. This is to help indicate that the spawner is indeed inactive.

If you place a torch DIRECTLY on top of a spawner it deactivates but continues spinning
if you light up the entire area, it is still active but it is to bright to spawn anything
if you apply a redstone current to the mobSpawner, it will deactivate and STOP spinning
so your idea has already been done in minecraft, sorry
