Hi everyone...
Ok, first allow me to say that, the very first moment I started Minecraft, I felt that it is headed to a more nature-based environment, and you cannot deny that for sure.
So, as a suggestion, wouldn't you like to see more environmental factors? I am talking about more casual animals to make the game more beautiful and lively. Not only animals, but other vegetation too. To be more specific, here is the list of my demands :smile.gif: :
*Casual Animals: -Eagles/Birds Soaring the Sky O_O -Bears, which would fit the forests in Minecraft. -Polar bears for snow biomes.
-Probably some kind of bugs and insects ( Birds interacting with them would be cool-eating them) -Deers :tongue.gif: but not necessarily -Fishes Inhabiting the waters, I would like them to add fishes under water, and variety of them. -Alligators in Swamps Biomes. I think they should add some hazards to certain locations, and the Alligator,Crocodile fits best. -Bats in caves
-Camels in Deserts, this would be amazing....especially with a saddle.
-And more generic creatures in forests and so on.
================================================================================
For the second category, I'd like more Vegetation & Others:
-BERRIES!!! Yes berries, not only edible, but can be used in potions and so on. Of course they need to create variety of them (Idea stolen from Pokemon :dry.gif: )
-Bushes & Shrubs, NOT a big deal, but my point is more scenic props are cool.
- Rocks, I know there is stone, but those are usually in mountains. So I'd love to see casual small or large rocks scatterd.
- Palm Trees, I love them :biggrin.gif: on shorelines and deserts of course
- Gems, such as Sapphires, Ruby, Emeralds ( Idea stolen from Pokemon :dry.gif: )
=====================================================================================
My last Category, SOUNDS:
ok, this one is important to me, they really need more ambient sounds such as:
-Wind -Trees/Bushes movements
-I'd love Animals Ambience in forest :biggrin.gif:
-And so on...
So Thanks if you read them and considered them. Now, the thing is, this is a whole long list :tongue.gif: I DO NOT want Notch and the team to be forced to work on such thing, I am suggesting only....And before I think of going further, Please TELL ME, are these additions pleasant to you? I think it is what will make the game beautiful. I am not asking for all of them. So is it good? Should it even be considered? Would You make it prior. And is there something you would like to omit or add?
Thank you so much for reading, and I'd love to here thoughts on why such idea is wrong or right,
It would be very unnecessary for some of the suggestions to be featured, or even a mod at that. Some of them are actually already in mods. I agree with you on Bats, Bears, Camels and rocks, but there are already Palm Trees in the game, they just don't fully look like Palm Trees.
Yep...like I said :smile.gif: They are unnecessary, the reason I suggested them isn't because they would upgrade the game mechanic, but only to make it look exotic. That's why I didn't want to make it a Priority. I don't want to bother with these additions since the team are already busy with other contents and ideas. But if they are possible......It wouldn't hurt :wink.gif:
Like I said, these only makes the game decorative, and They shouldn't be added all at one shot.
BTW, don't you think that we shouldn't rely on Mods? If Mods are the one responsible of 50% of the game, I wouldn't Appreciate it from the developers. They shouldn't depend on the Mods, they should make it their original creation. In other words, were are not forced to download mods to fix what they couldn't.
Lets not forget, most of these new animals need behavior :/ Bears and Alligators need to be aggressive. I think these kinds of threats are sometimes better than fantasy mobs. Though I do like the Mobs/Zombies we currently need to deal with.
BTW, Do you think we should be able to hunt the soaring birds with a bow O_o
Mods aren't there to "fix" the game, only to improve it for the player by adding features that they'd like. Remember though, Minecraft is a unique game, because of it's quality, texture and game play. By allowing people to make mods for the game is good as it becomes more enjoyable, though if the person likes the game already and thinks that adding mods would ruin their experience, then that's all right. You don't have to install mods.
Yes, it would make the game more decorative, but if you keeping adding more decor to a game like Minecraft, then you'd lose the fabric of the game. If you know what I mean?
Yes I guess I see what you mean....I do feel that these Addition will make Minecraft lose some of its....idk...charm :/
And about the mods, Well, I didn't mean to flame about them, I am not saying I dislike them, What I am saying is that Mods must not be a way for us to enjoy contents while the developers must be responsible for supplying them, rather than make the Modders responsible. Not that I detest it, but Shouldn't it be this way?
