At the current time, /solid, the unbreakable stone command only allows you to lay one stone type and have it be unbreakable. This stone being the concrete or B menu First Block. It turns into the stone you see when you reach the bottom and edges of the map.
Could it please be changed in a future version that as long as an admin has /solid enabled, that any type of block an admin lays is unbreakable?
The unbreakable block of the current time is rather ugly, making it hard to use in anything you don't want grief'd.
I love this command and it opens up a new world of possibilities for people to have protected creations.
Yes, please. This is completely necessary for grief protection. I dont see a reason why not, if someone is griefing with it, just deop. Make this a feature, assure creativity.
when highlighted it could be a different color so you know it's not breakable
like how regular blocks are white when highlited, unbreakables could be red or something

When a user places their cursor on a block to destroy it, that block flashes white.
What if the indestructable blocks glowed red or something? It would then be fairly straight forward. Oh course, anything under lava wouldn't be noticeable but, if you're navigating lava, you're usually feeling around in the dark [okay, red =P] anyway.
So, there are already blocks on the map, prebuilt, that are unbreakable. They are the same as the ones OP make. However, when you reach the prebuilt unbreakables, you cannot click on them. They don't flash white or anything. They are simply unclickable. Why not use this same strategy on OP-made unbreakables?
i came to the forums to post this idea myself and i reckon it is a must, and the unbreakable bricks flash red instead of white when the cursor is put on them.
No, I agree with Real. The red won't work in Lava, so people would get confused and think nothing is there. When they go towards it, and get stuck, they would think it was a glitch and Notch would get many reports.
For one this would either double the size of map files or half the number of possible blocks, which isn't so bad unless notch wanted more than 128 blocks.

I don't see why that's bad that the file's bigger really, it's still not big, and you people don't think that this could even be added in a config file? If you don't wanted it then just friggin turn it off.

Thank you.

But it just comes down to who you trust.

I agree with Notch on the point it should be very obvious what is unbreakable...
---> vede claimed Notch said this (and it is awesome).

Ain't no party like a [SSSS] party 'cause a [SSSS] party [VV] [tnt]!
Yeah. What would be the point of cloth colors if their brightness is horribly darkened?
