Enderdragon- Combat only. Would be unfair to ride, being so strong, not to mention bulky.
Overworld dragons, though, you should be able to temporarily tame (bribe) consisering they are weaker, strong, but not unstoppable. Anyway, dragons are known for greed. What if you could "bribe, or enlist" tjem temporarily with gold and diamonds? There could be a bar for wjen ue running low on loyalty (renewed with bribes).
It would have really bad turning when in flight, and no control while your resting it on ground, but think of it like this. Pvp would becpme something new. With one guy riding a dragon, people would have to band together if they wanr him to lose it (or if they want it) this alliance among the players would keep them from griefing eachother, because of the reuired trust :biggrin.gif:
Uh, no. For three very important reasons:
One, it doesn't keep them from griefing, in fact, all they're going to do is grief more when everyone's busy.
Two, no griefer is going to "band together" like Robin Hood and the Merry Men to defeat someone, they're going to be the one's riding it.
And Three, it doesn't keep them from griefing, in fact, all they're going to do is grief more when everyone's busy.
Now I understand that that's technically only two reasons, but I thought the first one was so important that it was worth mentioning twice.

Not to mention the extreme stress on the server and lag that riding dragons would create. Notch specifically tweeted that he was not going to make the lesser dragons (the Overworld ones) ride-able.
