TNT is quite hard to acquire in large amounts if you are playing survival. It's useful for mining (If you have a lot,) and making traps. Maybe even getting rid of an unwanted hill or structure. There is more than enough redstone to go around. So I was thinking that maybe there could be sulfur blocks that you would find in caves and stuff. It might look similar to gravel, and have the same physics. This would make TNT much easier to find and use. Since only Creepers drop sulfur, maybe they could drop pure TNT or maybe even a new substance like sulfur that, when made, creates x5 or x10 more blast radius than just regular TNT. What do you guys think?
i like the sulphur idea except that sulfur isnt like gravel IRL, and creepers dropping tnt isnt right since they dont actually have tnt inside of them its just gunpowder.
Tnt is a rare item because of it power (and fun). As soon as you make it possible to mine tnt or make it more common then the rarity off it is gone. It could also help griefers on server if you make it way to common. That is why tnt should stay around the same.
If a sulfur block was added, it could be generated next to lava pits perhaps. This includes surface lava pools, but it will mainly be found near the massive lava pools near bedrock. Or maybe it could be another nether block, plenty of lava there.
Breaks into 2 or 3 sulfur pieces, should be able to be crafted back into a full block for compact storage.
Perhaps the block can be set on fire as a sort of mob deterrent since burning sulfur isn't pleasant in the least.
i Think it should be that creepers drop full pieces of TNT or they drop 0-4 pieces, although the next suggestion in m more risky it works :smile.gif: when you want something destroyed, you find a creeper and lead him to your house, the hit him and as he sizzles jump far back.
