With minecraft coming out very soon I was thinking of things that could possibly be future updates after release. Ive been building a city in the desert with my friends and realized that the desert is a pretty boring place. I do know that the desert in real life is not that interesting either, but here is my reasoning... In the desert there's no animals, no resources to collect aside from cacti, no weather, no terrain features.
What I think is that notch should do a future update to the desert, similar to what he did to the nether. New monsters/animals in deserts, possibly camels, coyotes, sand worms? Also notch should add different sub-regions within deserts, it seems that most of the deserts are hills and lakes, I think there should be mountains, hills/dunes, and flat areas of land with maybe a new sand type. Finally I thought that there should be some kind of weather feature in deserts, so why not a very rare sandstorm? this could possibly burry buildings in sand and expand the biome.
This is just what I thought of to make deserts a cooler biome and attract people to build/live there... so tell me what you think!
