well i dunno if this was already suggested, or if its already suggested(yes i searched it) but it would be browsing through a list of released mods(i.e. Mo' Creatures, Mo' Nightmares, etc.) and if you want to have it, there would be a download & Install button next to it, or, if you want to see the info on it, just click it, and once you click the button to install it, you can go play, and once it's done it warns you that the mod/s that you were dling are down and it wants to install, and gives you the option to restart mc after its done installing, or keep playing, save your game, go to the main menu, and a button to exit and install the mods.
So its basically a
1. Mod Browser
2. Mod Manager
3. its own little area in Minecraft.
TADA! hope you like this suggestion!

Awesome idea! I cant believe nobody has already thought of that. Although, a problem is that minecraft (beleive is or not) already takes a lot out of your computer with RAM and memory etc. so implementing basically all of the minecraft forum mod pages will DEFINATLEY take a lot out of your computer. I think the auto-install is also a good idea, but minecraft cant do that on it's own and will require the mod makers to make their own auto-installers (similar to that like the YogBox). The problem with that is that usually when a mod has an auto-install is that you cant install more mods on top of that. In conclusion, it's a great idea, but highly unlikley that it will EVER be implemented in the Vanilla game. Hope this helps you! :smile.gif:

well im not thinking the WHOLE forum page, just a little summary of what the mod is and does, and if you want to it can load the whole page up.
and yes, minecraft has crashed on my computer because it's run out of memory to use
EDIT: pig thats a great idea for a button to get to it, and i have manually installed many mods, but a lot of people dont want to get around to do that so it helps thier cause, also it for the mental, or not computer friendly people
This would actually *HELP*. Good job on thinking this through. However , I would recommend filters like Most Popular and Most Viewed and Most Downloaded.

Those that don't search are scum , those that know the topic has been suggested , but still suggest them , are worse than scum.

I don't care to have an in game mod browser, I want something simple like what they did for texture packs.
A 'open mod folder' button, the list of mods which you've put in the folder and a 'done' button.
As simple as that.
So its basically a
1. Mod Browser
2. Mod Manager
3. its own little area in Minecraft.

yeah i always wondered why it still says "Mods and Texture Packs" when it only deals with the texture packs
