Yes I know there is a Mega-Thread cause I check the GIGA-THREAD! Omahgosh!
So, I sugest smarter wolves, with enhanced capibilitys and new gear! Taming and Basics
Right now when you tame a wolve you can only use bones, this seams ilogical I mean really dont you think it would rather have food instead of bones?
So I sugesst you can tame woles With: Meat, Bread, Watermelon, and Cooked Meat, but not bones (For a better use latter).
This means you dont have to kill a bunch of skeltons for 1 WOLF! I mean seriously it takes like 7 bones to tame 1 WOLF that means enless you have gone RAMBO on a bunch of skele's you dont get wolves.
So of course it will still take 7 of whatever to tame it, so its not super-easy to get a bunch of wolves.
Now when you tame a wolve, it will look like the current wolve but without the red collar, meaning you wont be able to easily tell between your wolves and other wolves.
Now:
Wolve Mechanics
Wolves will be generaly smart, they will stay away from open flames and Lava, they will stay close to the player enless attacking and will ocasionaly circle the player when he is standing still.
Collars
So this shows a few ways on how collars could be crafted (I did'nt want to limit it to 1 design)
Now with collars, whatever wool color you choise will be the color of the color (Its red in the example for show)
Once you craft the collar, simply hold the collar and right-click on a wolve this will place the collar on the wolve, if the wolve already has a collar it will take off the other collar and put the one you are holding on.
Attracting Wolves
Ok, so now you have a way to "Brand" your wolves and Tame them but face it wolves arnt that easy to find sometimes!
So I suggest the BONE BLOCK what does it do you might ask? Well it does 3 things It Raise's the wolve spawn potential by 5%, it Attracts Wolves, and it keeps them in the same area for 2 minecraft days, enless they are attracted by something else like a sheep in that time.
So Crafting!
(Dont you love my great drawing!)
Wolve GUI
When you right-click a wolve with something other then a collar it will bring up this GUI:
Now, as you see there ar 4 slots to the left, but I wont explain those right now, latter I shall.
Now you can see the Gender of your wolve, this is for breeding.
The Age, This is also for breeding (A wolve age's by 1 every minecraft day), wolves will naturaly spawn in the 12-15 day old range, and rarly in the 16-20 day range and EVEN RARER in the 1-11 day old range.
Health, So you can tell how much health your wolve has (No more judging by the tail height).
Exp, For how much Exp your wolf has (I dont know maybe when it levels up it gets more attack power or somewhat?).
Name, As you can see you can change the name of your wolf, when you tame a wolf the game will simply name it "Wolf1, Wolf2, Wolf3" Etc.
Well thats it, too the next item!
Breeding
Now to breed wolves, They must be at least 18 days old and a Male and Female.
To breed you will give a Female Wolve and a Male Wolve both a bone when they are close together, they will then walk side by side with hearts above there heads, After 2 minecraft days they will show up with a new Baby wolf (With praportional heads, not these giant headed crap baby mobs we have) then after 6 minecraft days the baby wolf will become and adult, then you can bread again.
Drops
Evenetually you will get tired of wolves or something and just go RAMBO on em.
So what they wil drop will be Fur, What these Fur's do is there basicly Leather, you can use them to create Winter Gear armor which is colored white and is...white?
It has the same duribility as leather armor, but is more for show or so much..
Wolve Armor
Remember those 4 slots earlier?
Well here is what they are for!
You can make wolve armor out of Iron or Gold, Nothing else.
When you place it on it looks cool, or whatever....
It does the same thing on a wolve as it does on a Player.
Well I think thats it, please vote, comment, etc etc etc etc etc etc...........etc (HAHA)...........
If you know who the man in my avatar is without googling/looking at my profile then you know how big things can start and how other people get blamed for it.
I really don't like your idea. I think it would be 5X simpler to use a seed that spawns wolves next to the spawn and kill skeletons, rather then do all that, make a collar, attract them, and bla-bla-bla.
TL;DR It should stay the way it is. Wolves are suppose to HELP. Not be mass support to kill everything.
