So here's my mob idea. Appearance and Behavior
-The Gensus is a black dog-like creature that spawn in packs of 2 or 3. The AI is hostile. However, if an Enderman spots you, any Gensus in the vicinity will give chase, no matter how far you are. Another unique ability Gensus have is that they are quick on their feet, so they sprint regularly or if you go too far. The only way to escape is to fight them off. Stats
The Gensus have 7 hearts, and they deal 1-2 hearts of damage EDIT: 1 to Half Hearts of Damage. Another ability is that a Gensus has a 10 percent chance to knock you down, immobilized for 5 seconds EDIT: 3 seconds. While down, it will begin eating you. Alive. Damage made this way cannot be recovered by a full hunger, and you must wait a few minutes for the gashes to heal.
-I'm no good at 3D models, so here's some quick concept art.

-I would love to get some feedback. Whether it is praise, or hate.
Ha, it kind of looks like a Pokemon, doesn't it? But no, I based this off a drawing I drew in the 6th grade.
Kind of looks like a Zigzagoon.
looks nothing like a zigzagoon. Looks more like a poochyena to me.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't. I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers.
"You don't honestly care if your new Crystal Meta-Sword is going to clash with your Elite Boss Clogs! It's about the numbers! You want the items with the best numbers so you can use your numbers to decrease the enemy numbers until your numbers are the best in the land!" -ZeroPunctuation

On second thought, having the knockdown ability going for 5 seconds seem a bit too op. So, a single Gensus only deals 1 to half a heart. So in packs of two or three, they may be able to deal 2 or 3 hearts at a time.
I like them. I personally think it should only be a 1/2 second knock down. In addition, they shouldn't regularly dash, but run like spiders. I think they should only spawn in the end and near End Portal blocks.

Why does everyone think I don't have an avatar? Is there anyone who can see the one black pixel.
Please click the dragons, they need to grow. Also, my fully grown dragons can be found in my bio.

Actually, I think I should keep the dashing. The point of the mob is that they are terribly weak by themselves, but they are as fast as you, maybe even faster. The knockdown time could be shortened to four or three, but could you really get up from a blow to the head in one to two seconds?

I think a faster normal speed and no dashing would be better. Also, I could at least get to a position where I could crawl in about a second (unless they are extremely heavy, which I would doubt). I actually have taken a pretty heavy blow to the head (running at about 20mph and tripping so fast I couldn't do anything about falling until I fell (and I got up in a few seconds going at a nice leisurely pace) and hitting the ground head first on some pretty hard ground (at least for dirt). I think it should be immobilizing for 1 second, and recovering half of the speed you lost and have yet to get back every second (so 1 second, 0 speed, 2 seconds, 1/2 speed, 3 seconds 3/4 speed and so on) until speed hits 31/32, in which case you fully recover. And you should be able to attack after 1/2 a second.

Well Mulan, you might say this mob is a bit like a cheetah. Even though it is terribly fast, it can't go into a sprint for very long, and has to rest for a few moments.

You know what, let's get back on track before this becomes a discussion about Pokemon. Shall we?
