I have been thinking of ways to make Minecraft more interesting. I propose a new biome and a few new ideas.
Biome (Rain Forest)
This biome is home to monkeys, jaguars, and various birds. The trees are tall, and it holds Rubber Trees. You can cut a rubber tree down for wood and for rubber. This is used in some of the ideas I will introduce later. The biome will consist of many trees and animals, frequent rain, and many small puddles, about 2x2x1 in size. Monkeys will be non-aggressive and will not attack if attacked. Birds will be the same. Jaguars will be similar to wolves. They will attack only when attacked.
New Ideas (Hoses)
This is where the rubber comes in handy. Place three rubber on the left and right of a crafting table and it will yield a rubber hose. This will then be combined with a piston, iron bars, and either a water bucket, lava bucket, slime ball, ender pearl, or eye of ender. The hose will go in the middle of the right column. 2 iron ingots on top and bottom. In the dead center is one of many items. Behind that in the middle of the left column is a piston (not a sticky piston). Above and below that is an iron ingot. This will make a launcher.
Whatever you use in the middle is what will be launched. Here are some uses for the various launchers...
Water Hose: You can easily put out fires and turn lava into obsidian from a safe distance.
LavaThrower: Attack enemies with a stream of lava.
StickyThrower: Can stop enemies for 10 seconds
EnderLauncher: Allows you to throw an ender pearl further.
EyeLauncher: Eyes of Ender are launched further and hover for a few seconds longer.
Please leave comments so that I may get feedback on this. Thanks!
As far as biomes go, I'd like to see the current ones have a little more individuality in terms of mobs and plant life so I'm not excited for additional biomes. However, water hoses could definitely be useful as I've definitely burnt down a few structures in my time (and not on purpose!).
All of these seem a bit redundant except for the water hose, and improved biomes. Did you use search? I think there's a thread called Biome+ that has all of the suggestions for biomes

Good ideas but in the rainforest there should be just one or 2 special MOBs, and what would rubber be used for other than hoses?
I love the idea of fried eggs, I can't believe Notch never added that into the game
I wish that every biome had a unique animal. Penguins on the ice, goats in the mountains, boars in the forest, horses in the plains, alligators in the swamp, etc etc
That sounds awesome. Would the hoses need to be attached to anything (redstone power, or would they be portable and consume resources or none at all?
One thing though, I think 10 seconds of for the slime trap is too long, I personally would want between 3 and 5 seconds, no more.
Great idea though :smile.gif:
An idea I thought of was to take to hose and put it in water, then attach it to a cauldron, and you would have a limitless supply of water accessable in your house. This also would give an use to cauldrons.
My friend suggested that we use the oceans and add a biome that is a coral reef. You can collect various corals to use for potions and decorative purposes for your house.
For this biome, a good idea for an item to equip is a glass helmet or dive helmet made of glass and iron. It allows you to stay underwater longer and be able to see better underwater. You can also mine faster underwater when wearing it.
Well, now that they have released the "final version", I still hope that some of these ideas are considered to be added as either updates when making a new version or as mods.

Do you mean for this to be implemented into the main game, or as a mod?
I think that it should be added into the game. However, if it is not, it would still make a good mod.
