I have to agree, I always have far more seeds than I need, and it would be nice to have some good use for them. I do feel half a food is too much for them though, perhaps .25 foods/seed.

Either that, or maybe X food but with a chance at not giving you any. E.g. 1 food at 25% chance or something.
I'm open to any improvements to my original idea, that's the name of the game. I just want to (1) have the ridiculous early-game hunger issue solved and (2) have some extra uses for the seeds. :smile.gif:
I never had any early game hunger problems. Chickens are plentiful. Pigs and cows are fairly common too. You can even eat zombies if there's nothing else.
Players should be encouraged to start a wheat farm for a stable renewable food supply. If they can just eat seeds there's less incentive to do so.
