I've been coming up with a new structure lately. It is called a Lost Civilization, which I think should be part of updates added six months into the future. Here are the details.
LOST CIVILIZATION
-Underground
-Rarer than diamonds, but less rare than strongholds
-4 times as big as an npc village
-As tall as 4 npc houses stacked on top of each other
-Contains houses made from cobblestone
-(Optional) Chests full of minerals
-Walls aren't straight, but they look like they were mined randomly
-Dimly lit, but lit enough so that monsters don't spawn
-Connected to an abandoned mine shaft
-(Optional) Has 2-12 Miners
-Houses are dimly lit
-Houses aren't decorated well
-Floor of Lost Civilization looks like it's been mined randomly
-Ceiling looks like it's been mined randomly
-(Optional) Contains the planned mob Pigmen
Now here are the details for Miners.
(Optional)NPC MINERS
-Neutral unless attacked
-If attacked, the group of miners attack the attacking entity
-Kill all aggressive mobs in sight
-Will occasionally follow you for a while
-Hold an iron pickaxe
-Don't mine
-Wear partially torn clothes
-Drops: commonly 1-3 stone, uncommonly 1-3 iron ingots, semi-rarely 1-2 gold
-Seek the sunlight
-If they walk out into the sun right after rising to the surface, they burn
-They need to be in your well-lit house for one day before going into the sun
-After they are able to leave, they leave if you let them
-They walk 20 block away from you if you don't follow them and disappear mysteriously leaving an iron pickaxe and a hole in the ground 1 block deep
-After this you get an achievement
-Miners have been stuck in the Lost Civilization for years eating anything edible they can find
-They are grateful if you give them meat and drop some resources in exchange
