Returning to the theme of usability, I have to say this: Minecraft is a great game design concept that suffers from some excruciatingly bad interface design decisions. The particular one that has me almost screaming in frustration lately is flight in creative mode.
In the name of little green fishes, can we PLEASE have a different default key to enable and disable flight from the default jump/up key? For example, I understand F isn't used any more; how about making F toggle flight on and off by default? Having the same key perform two different functions in the same game mode is insanely bad interface design. If I had a gold block for every time I've accidentally turned flight off and plummeted to the ground while trying to finely adjust my altitude....

It works fine for me. Just try to go down when you're trying to get to a specific altitude.
What I hate is sprinting. It's so unreliable. Sometimes, I stop sprinting mid-jump while I'm still holding forward.
F3 + F = Render Distance so i don't think F is a good key :dry.gif:
I'm not rooting for a specific key. Just the ability to set it to something separate from jump/up so that there aren't two functions that interact ungracefully bound to the same key.
That's a good idea, have fly and sprint movable on the keyboard. It's hard to double tap right for flying when you're splashing at the surface of water and it's hard to sprint immediately when you want to sometimes.
