Nothing -------Bullets: Iron and 2 sulfur on the top and bottom of the iron
Middle:
each block has 3 iron
Bottom:
On the left 1 block of 3 iron
takes 3 shot's to kill a person (damage decreases by a half depending on armor strength) or monster and 1 shot for an animal.
Spear:
2 stick's diagonal (one must be in middle)
and one of these a wooden plank, stone, iron, gold, diamond diagonal of one of the stick's and is made for hunting. you throw it so you don't wait wast a good sword or arrows. Depending on the length the damage increases 1 heart for every 3 blocks thrown.
Weapons are fine the way they are. Who really needs any more?
If you can't use the current ones properly...well, I'm sorry, my friend, but you suck at this game.
For the gun:
1. Your recipe is too simple.
2. Sulfur isn't in game anymore, it's called gunpowder now.
3. IDK about the bullets recipe.
4. Is it a modern gun, or low-tech like a musket? BE SPECIFIC DAMNIT!
5. How fast does it fire?
6. How long is its range?
7. How would this weapon be able to compete with the bow without being a total downgrade or upgrade? The bow is already pretty damn versatile, what would be the advantages and disadvantages of this weapon?
For the spear:
1. Meh. I don't really know what this weapon would add to the game. It's not terrible, but it's not really good either.

Jeeze its just an idea... No need to bring someone down over an idea!
I think Minecraft could use some new weapons. Right now there is a sword and a bow. more if you improvise with axes, sand/gravel (for suffocating), flint and steel...
But we need more REAL weapons. spear, knife, etc.
Spears are the coolest weapons ever! I think if we had spears/pikes they would attack slower and more powerful obviously, maybe a tad more range then sword.
Making a short version of the sword(1 less metal material) could create a stack of throwing daggers, not sure what the specifics would be on this.
Having a short sword+shield combo to block would be cool, making diamond shield etc.
A shield would be made like a chest plate but you take away the bottom corner materials so it looks like a V or possibly just a 2x2 square.
A hunting spear/javelin?
I think they are making poisonous potions and such so you can dip your arrows in them, would be logical right?
People talk a lot about a crossbow, that would be cool, but really there are a lot of options for weapons it's just most of them would seem equal to the ones now in most aspects.
I'm always a proponent of a firearm in Minecraft... but it can't be anything modern. I mean, not just for balance issues but also for the rough timeframe - considering you mine with pickaxes and not steam-powered or diesel-powered mining machines - would be old-timey single-shot flintlock or percussion rifles/pistols, one or the other - I'd take a pistol.
There's a mod with many weapons in it, I forget the name, but it's neat. Since the gun is a flintlock musket in that mod, it's crafted in two parts, the barrel and stock... of course, that wouldn't work with a pistol, but either way. Being a flintlock, it's crafted with a :Flint and Steel: which I think is neat. Here's what I'd figure:
:Flint and Steel:
Then you have bullets... I'd imagine stone over gunpowder, producing two or four bullets per crafting. Now, what's important would be the difference between the bow and the gun. Perhaps to make it slightly more expensive, maybe stone over two pieces of gunpowder'd be better...
Well, at least from my stance, a gun should fire straight, and far faster. However, perhaps a tad less accurate - seeing as how your typical dueling-style pistol has a smoothbore barrel. Being a single-shot gun, a flintlock would take quite some time to prepare for action again... not the full 60 seconds or more of real life, but something more around five or ten. Lastly, it would be powerful enough to kill most mobs in two hits, each shot doing five hearts of damage...
The other weapon I can see in Minecraft is a Knife, the only weapon that can be made in the 2x2 grid. A piece of tool material - wood, stone, iron, gold, or diamond - over a stick. Less powerful than a sword and perhaps with less durability... but if you're in a pinch, without a sword for some reason when you don't have time to make a table but you NEED something better than a block of dirt for smacking Creepers...
Shields are a good idea, but it'd take a few major changes to how the inventory works - you'd have to be able to wield two items at once, which is like Total Miner: Forge, one of many Minecraft ripoffs... then you could add in Torches giving off light while held...
