I have recently made a server with my friend on the 1.8 version of Minecraft and I have really got into using pistons. My problem is that pistons doors that are three or more blocks wide are very difficult, as well as very time and space consuming. So i thought, what if regular blocks would stick to each other like sticky pistons?
**long story short, I want to take one regular block, combine it with a slimeball, and end up with blocks that stick to each other**
This would make wide piston doors much easier to make and also allow you to "tow" objects if notch ever comes out with a car type machine of some sort
hope i got the idea over smoothly

PS: this is my first post on the minecraft fourums so go easy if i made some mistake.
thanks again!
I doubt Notch would add that but maybe you could ask somebody to make a mod, although it would be extremely difficult considering that you would have to edit every single class file in the game... though i must say i hate confusing pistons too.

sorry if that confused you...
Would it really? correct me if I'm wrong, but if you made it so you had to craft it in a crafting table, placing a stone or dirt block in the center and a slimeball above, below or beside it (depending on which side you wanted sticky) then nothing would be changed, just added to. and adding new things to Minecraft is what notch does best

hello fellow Minecrafters
