For whatever reason I really like the cauldrons, and don't want to see them removed for lack of uses. (As its primary use has been replaced by the Brewing Stands) So here are two ideas on uses for the Cauldron.
Stacking Effects:
Currently potions are limited to one effect per potion. My idea is that you can take potions that have already been made via the Brewing Stand and add them into the Cauldron. (Each potion fills the Cauldron by 1/3 of its capacity.) Then you add a different potion into the cauldron and mix. At this point you take a bottle and get one bottle's worth of a potion that has all the effects of the potions added to the cauldron. In other words, you can add a Strength, Healing, and Speed potion to the Cauldron, mix it, then get one potion that gives you Strength, Healing, and Speed.
Aging:
Leaving a potion in a cauldron for a certain amount of time could add the "Aged" or "Fermented" effect to the potion. I don't know if it should effect the potion in a positive way (Increased duration, effect, or an additional positive effect) or in a negative way.

Yes! Brewing stand for brewing, and cauldrons for mixing. I support.

I am meowing at my lung’s fullest. I would even argue that the echo that reverberates back to me is the voice of someone I know…
